William's alleged behaviour to blame?

lemonoilburner · 12/01/2020 20:25

For Harry's departure , as suggested?
Is it all rumour or a genuine possibility in
Your opinion?
Surely William's personal life did not offend Harry so much that he would actually step back from his role and life in the UK?

Please can we stop all these threads on the Royals!!!!! We don't know them, are not likely to get to know them, and I and probably lots MN's on here don't really care what they do and how they live their lives.

You really couldn’t have guessed the subject of the thread from the title? Did you click on it in all innocence, thinking it could be just one of many Williams?

Of course there’s an overdose of threads on this for the moment - but unless your scrolling finger is broken, you can simply scroll past. It takes a lot more effort to open the thread and post a complaint about its very existence.

PickAChew · 12/01/2020 21:55

Some people need a life.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 12/01/2020 22:03

Why on Earth does the mawkish FB nonsense keep being reposted?

You’re not doing H&M any favour with it.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 12/01/2020 22:07

She said goodbye to her single mother who raised her on her own and life as she knew it to be with the man she loves.

Just to start with, Meghan was living in Toronto and her mother in LA, so she’d said goodbye along time ago. Also, didn’t she live with her father as a adolescent?

Cherrysoup · 12/01/2020 22:10

Don’t blame them for wanting to go. The gutter press has hounded her from the start.

The rumours of William’s affair were well publicised abroad. Apparently Harry had a big row with William, reminding him that his father’s affair ruined their childhood and drove his mother crazy. Given how close William, Kate and Harry were before the wedding, it does seem logical that this is at least part of the problem.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/01/2020 22:12

Kate went to church with Rose Hanbury the other day

The most forgiving woman in England wouldn't stoop to do that.

It's bollocks.

Queenest · 12/01/2020 22:14

It is bollocks

thepeopleversuswork · 12/01/2020 22:18

dreadful bossy female

WTF

Sorry, my mistake. I thought this was 2020 and for one moment imagined that Meghan Markle was someone who had had a successful career. And who might, god forbid, have a right to have some sort of input into what the rest of her life was going to be like.

Words fail me...

Dustarr73 · 12/01/2020 22:21

I think they thought they could get away with mauling Meghan and blaming everything on her.I dont think for one moment they thought she and Harry would leave.

I think its easier blaming her and putting the spotlihgt on her than realing and accepting they are a fucked up family. They are protecting Andrew.

heath48 · 12/01/2020 22:22

Oh FFS!!! Nicole Cliff started the rumour about William, she admitted it.

Thought the entire world knew this by now, except for a few saddos on MN,who live a fantasy life!!!

Frenchw1fe · 12/01/2020 22:23

The best part of this thread is the people who post that we should all stop the thread whilst adding to it.

EnidBlyton · 12/01/2020 22:27

Stop dissing Megan!

slipperywhensparticus · 12/01/2020 22:28

There is nothing to protect Andrew from no one appears to be asking for an interview or anything 🤷‍♀️ the press dropped it ages ago

EnidBlyton · 12/01/2020 22:28

It is the Hate that has driven them away.
Be ashamed

phpolly · 12/01/2020 22:30

Rose Hanbury did not go to church with Kate. She was in the same church at the same time, due to her husband's role as Lord Great Chamberlain. It would have been much more commented upon had she not been there. As far as I know, the two women didn't interact.

Hotwaterbottle01 · 12/01/2020 22:31

I don’t understand the attention and press coverage this has got when Prince Andrew has been busy swanning around with a convicted pedo!

Meghan has joined the firm and been ‘confident’ and ‘ambitious’ qualities seemingly bad for a female but okay for a male, she’s single handedly got the crown on it’s not knees? Because they want to step back. Yet Andrew has been sent quietly away with a tapped on the wrists and will no doubt continue to NOT live financially independent.

What would a man or Prince Andrew Needed to have done in order to get the same negative press? Wore the wrong hairstyle or just being too confident?

Such an outcry about the money that was spent on frogmore cottage but what about the cost of keep Andrew now? If anyone needs stripping of a title it’s him!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/01/2020 22:34

Nobody attends church with the Royals that they aren't happy for them to be there I imagine.

I simply don't believe considering his mother and father never mind his wife he would be so fucking foolish.

CrumbsThatsQuick · 12/01/2020 22:37

Wasn't Rose with Kate at church (with other friends) for Kate's birthday weekend?

RonaldMcDonald · 12/01/2020 22:42

Kathy Wales has no choice but be in the same company as Rose Hanbury. Hanbury, via her husband, is invited no matter what poor Kathy feels
Bill Wales is an overbearing boor. Workshy and entitled. He had intimate dinners and walks with Hanbury when Kathy was vomiting and preggo

Harry Wales hates the boring fake constrained version of Royal life he is allowed. He wants to do things and is a ball of energy.
Also hates despises the press
No matter who he married he would have gone this way

Harry and Bill have a spoilt and terminally useless father more wet and spoiled than they can understand
They try

Meghan thought she had a starring role in a fairytale sitcom. She then read the script on the previous series once she’d signed on as a returning character.

FenellaMaxwell · 12/01/2020 22:42

Yes, she was a guest at Kate’s birthday.

Cohle · 12/01/2020 22:44

Yes, the papers reported that Rose Hanbury was staying with the family, and thus at church with them, as part of Kate's birthday celebrations.

It does make the rumours about the affair seem unlikely.

It seems more and more likely that the fall out was about William raising concerns about Meghan's willingness to toe the traditional Royal line, and that he was right to do so.

PortiaCastis · 12/01/2020 22:44

Grin some of this is hilarious wacko nonsense

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 12/01/2020 22:45

Yes thats what I said but somebody has been along to tell me this is meaningless because she has to be there because her husband has some role.

Like it's the 50s or something and she is compelled to be there and Kate is compelled to tolerate it doesn't have the clout to say "if she's going, fuck that" which she totally does and a scorned wife totally would

Hadenoughofitall441 · 12/01/2020 22:47

To be fair I don’t see the fascination with her but that stems from her acting days. But I really do feel sorry for her, the media especially haven’t given her chance, they’ve slagged her off from the get go. Just because she isn’t like Kate. I’m glad her and Harry are standing on thier own two feet. Yes I know it’s the royal family, but Why should she have to conform to the behaviours and change her who she is. Harry loves her for her not for who his family want her to be. How can you judge a guy who wants to support his family by himself away from the stresses of his extended family. He’s got to make his own mistakes.
