Gratuitous posting for traffic, sorry! I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my first and curious to hear stories about all of Mumsnet's birthing stories!

Were you bang on time? Late? Super early? Anyone's water break while speaking at a conference or at a family dinner? How was the labour? Any complications? ..were you prepared and how are your DCs now?

36 +2. Only live birth. Stayed in hospital extra 2 days because of jaundice and we both had a temperature. I was back in within 2 weeks with a haemorrhage as my placenta had not been fully discharged. This was 1999

Sooverthemill · 11/01/2020 17:01

Oh she was 6 lbs 11 oz

Trafalger · 11/01/2020 17:02

Deelish75 · 11/01/2020 17:15

Nat6999 · 11/01/2020 17:16

I was bang on 37 weeks when ds was finally born by emcs after being induced at 36+4 due to pre eclampsia.

lilgreen · 11/01/2020 17:17

Due date 02/12, arrival 02/12.
Went into labour on the 1st and my DS arrived early hours bang on 40 weeks 🙂

Xenia · 11/01/2020 17:22

I didn't add my twins' weights - born at 40 weeks exactly 6 pounst 8 and 7 pounds 8 (lots of baby there.....). Their 12 days early sister (my first child who was and is not a twin) was 6 pounds 2 only

fromcitytocountry · 11/01/2020 17:25

Just to add he was my first. I laboured at home right up until the end when I decided I wanted to go into hospital for the final few hours. I had 3 midwives with me at home and two at the hospital.

They were fabulous and all very supportive, allowing me to do whatever i needed to stay within my own 'space' (breathing/positioning etc).

MinnieMountain · 11/01/2020 17:26

40+14. He was induced. As his heart rate was going up and down, I had a monitor strapped to my stomach, which meant lying on my back the whole time.

He was 10lb 6 oz.

vadam · 11/01/2020 17:26

38+2!

Sagradafamiliar · 11/01/2020 17:40

DC1 42 weeks
DC2 42 weeks
DC3 42 weeks

And my waters didn't break with any of them until I'd been pushing for quite some time. I was quite disappointed, if have liked at least one where it happens like it does on TV: pottering about somewhere, waters break ceremoniously, then contractions then give birth minutes later!

johnworf · 11/01/2020 17:42

#1 37 weeks
#2 39 weeks
#3 40 weeks
#4 24 weeks

AHorseCalledCroc · 11/01/2020 17:44

DC1 - 35+0 ( induced due to pre-e then discovered placenta was gritty and DC weighted 3lbs despite the scan the previous day saying no issues with placenta and estimating baby at 6.5lb 🙄 nicu then scbu for 2.5 weeks)
DC2 - 36+6 ( was due to get induced the next day, I had pushed for this after recurrent mc then issues with DC1)

MamToTeens · 11/01/2020 17:48

DD1 - 39 weeks (elective CS)
DD2 - 31 weeks

Mammyloveswine · 11/01/2020 17:53
