Hi all, I’m visiting my grandparents overnight, and I heard Gran coughing so I got up to see if she was OK, and she was asleep by the time I got in to the room she was sleeping in, and I’m now sitting at the kitchen table crocheting and Mumsnetting. What about you?

Feeding my 12 week old ❤️ Think my husband is still awake because I can smell toast from downstairs, he’s a complete night owl.

4 months into a divorce with an ex who had an EA. Today - well, yesterday - was our DS birthday and it was horrible. Just horrible. I kept dissolving into tears. I don't want to go to bed and not be distracted by TV and lights.
Last year was awful and I was determined to get chin up and tits out and do this one better but I lost my job last week, busted my ankle so I can't run/stay sane and next week I have a biopsy on a suspicious mole. I've realised that however much I try and ignore or deny it that I still live my stbx and I'm still broken hearted and I just want this bit to be over.

I am so fucking lost and hurt right now.

MrsJasonIsbell · 13/01/2020 02:00

Because someone on here recommended Virgin River on Netflix!
It's ok, I only need to get up for work/school in 5 hrs!

PhilCornwall1 · 13/01/2020 02:08

Bloody Rheumatoid Arthritis and pain!! My youngest isn't well at the moment, so I heard him go to the bathroom at about midnight as he thought he was going to be sick, pretty sure the antibiotics he is on aren't agreeing with him. I was awake so checked on him and got him a drink, he's crashed out now.

It was too painful for me to be in bed so came downstairs. My wife was dead to the world, so didn't want to disturb her with my moving about. Alarm going off in 4 hours, so waiting for the codeine to kick in and try and sleep down here for a bit. The chances are slim I think.

sashh · 13/01/2020 02:15

Morning all, the cafe is open. Phil I've made you a camomile tea, it occasionally helps me when the tramadol and the TENS need a boost.

Missmummy88 · 13/01/2020 02:33

I have a terrible bout of thrush which has left me increasingly sore and itchy. I get recurrent thrush, and tonight it’s unbearable. My mind can’t switch off from the itch!

Missmummy88 · 13/01/2020 02:34

Now eating cereal in bed because my pregnancy sickness at night is bad. So cereal and then try and sleep again

whatdoyouthinkyouknow · 13/01/2020 03:00

Menopause and dodgy hormones.....

It gives me insomnia. I could fall sleep immediately up until a few years ago. This really isn't talked about. I was ready for the other symptoms, but not this one.

247SylviaPlath · 13/01/2020 03:00

Realised my reason for being awake at 3am is batshit... thinking every sound is a potential burglar so not ever being able to relax enough to sleep into daylight hits. Writing it down makes it worse somehow.

247SylviaPlath · 13/01/2020 03:02

That should read until daylight hits
Not
Into daylight hits
Obviously I am tired

LaBelleSauvage123 · 13/01/2020 03:04

Terrible cough - sitting up and Mnetting seems to relieve it a bit. Now my fourth consecutive night of disturbed sleep and I’m fed up with it.

PhilCornwall1 · 13/01/2020 03:10

Thank you @sashh Smile I've tried Tramadol in the past for this and it didn't work, just sent me loopy Confused mind you, codeine makes me feel stoned to be honest. About another hour and I can have some more if I need it. Trying to avoid it though.

Definitely avoiding naproxen, that has a worse effect my system than boiled eggs Envy

PigletJohn · 13/01/2020 03:19

Disturbed sleep due to cough.

Apocalyptichorsewoman · 13/01/2020 03:30

Woke up briefly and noticed Ds2 had his bedroom light on. Went in and found him still on his computer 😠 packed him off to bed. Now can't get back to sleep...

sashh · 13/01/2020 03:41

Phil

I need to see my GP, one of the three keeps stopping my Naproxen repeat prescription due to other meds I take, but |I've seent he consultant who is happy with my regime.

OutOntheTilez · 13/01/2020 03:46

I'm five hours behind, in a different time zone.

UnexpectedItemInTheShaggingAre · 13/01/2020 04:05

Pregnant, with tummy pain. I can’t sleep!

MerryDeath · 13/01/2020 04:10

i am feeding DS2 who is now 18 hours old. this time yesterday i was just going into a 6 hour , drugless due to speed Confused, back to back labour and delivery so today is a happy day just by virtue of not being that!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 13/01/2020 04:15

28 weeks pregnant....

sashh · 13/01/2020 04:18

Merry

Congratulations

PhilCornwall1 · 13/01/2020 04:19

@sashh Some GPs seem to hate that drug, I think it's because of what it can do to your stomach, but I get given Omephrazole to take with it. I had one who wouldn't prescribe it as he called it "industrial strength ibuprofen and I don't like it".

My consultant is ok with me taking it if things get too inflamed and wrote and told him to prescribe it, that GP won't see me anymore.

PhilCornwall1 · 13/01/2020 04:21

@MerryDeath congratulations! He's the best reason to be up at this time.

mynamenomore · 13/01/2020 04:21

DH Squared up to me earlier and I'm a little rattled

Wilkolampshade · 13/01/2020 04:25

Menopausal insomnia.... and moving house stress... and teenager anxiety...
Ugh.

popgoesperfection · 13/01/2020 04:41
