Hi all, I’m visiting my grandparents overnight, and I heard Gran coughing so I got up to see if she was OK, and she was asleep by the time I got in to the room she was sleeping in, and I’m now sitting at the kitchen table crocheting and Mumsnetting. What about you?

Sorry to hear that @stillfunny
How long have you known?

pastacaring · 11/01/2020 05:14

Up with 11 month old ds, he's woken at 3am for a week now. He's starting to settle but I will struggle to get back to sleep now. Very windy here, in loft room and can hear slates rattling in the wind.

hellcarryingahandbag · 11/01/2020 05:15

@Stillfunny you shouldn’t have to live with that! Tell him to FOTTFSOFTFOSM!!

I’m a chronic insomniac. 😢

laudete · 11/01/2020 05:19

Insomnia. Hope you manage to fall asleep again.

Crowlow · 11/01/2020 05:19

Been up working, just finished night-shift, so time to make some dinner!

Snowflake9 · 11/01/2020 05:21

My 4mo woke at 2. Took an hour and a half to be able to put him down. He woke at 5 for his bottle. Now I need to make the transfer from my bed to his cot.

I would kill for an early night and a long lay in. Like 9pm through to 11am would be idea.of heaven.

hellcarryingahandbag · 11/01/2020 05:25

Now listening to magic radio with my earphones in, on the loveseat, and drinking tea.

Left the fan heater on automatic cut off by mistake so at 3.00am when the temperature dropped it suddenly noisily went into action nearly giving me a heart attack! Had to get up to turn it off and am still not back to sleep yet.

SucculentCandle · 11/01/2020 05:31

Not quite bedtime yet for me.

TheClitterati · 11/01/2020 05:32

I fell asleep on the sofa and woke up with a terrible crick in my neck now I'm trying to un crick it in bed.

Verily1 · 11/01/2020 05:32

Woke before 5.

Either a dream or child sleep talking.

Then needed toilet so got up.

Hear the wind and rain now.

Won’t get back to sleep.

HJWT · 11/01/2020 05:35

Was feeding my 12 week old (how is he that old!) Normally I am half asleep when I do this and then he did a big 💩 it was so loud I was wide awake after that 😂😂😂

chuffoff · 11/01/2020 05:38

Woke up an hour ago due to late pregnancy insomnia and am so glad I did as I somehow managed to remember that the tooth fairy hadn't visited my eldest son yet. She has now!

FramingDevice · 11/01/2020 05:41

Nightmare.

Littlebean0506 · 11/01/2020 05:41

My 7 month woke wanting her bottle, so now I'm waiting for her to go back to sleep before I can. On the plus side she woke up at 5am today instead of her usual 4am, extra hour sleep for me so lucky 😂

hellcarryingahandbag · 11/01/2020 05:52

@Verily1 can you not put earphones in and listen to music?

OP posts:
Stillfunny · 11/01/2020 05:52

Whole other thread on this. But it has been a year now. And horrible thoughts keep me awake most nights.

CanadianJohn · 11/01/2020 05:53

Different time zone, but I stayed up late scarfing licorice all sorts, and now I feel sick. Dummy.

lboogy · 11/01/2020 05:54

My D.C. woke me up at 4.30 and I can't go back to sleep 😔

Warpdrive · 11/01/2020 05:59

DH woke me up, again, by crying out in a loud falsetto tone in his sleep.

His dreams are always scary enough for a shrill outburst but not so scary that they actually wake him.

🙄

Ariaty · 11/01/2020 06:02

My stepdad once ran his finger through the dust on top of my bookcase and made this face envy so now I scrub everything.. How rude, hand him a duster next time rather than waste your life pleasing a rude man.

Ellybellyboo · 11/01/2020 06:07

I woke up at 5 and now wide awake.

Had to get up for a wee so now downstairs watching Anne with an E on Netflix

I’m a rubbish sleeper at the best of times but we went out last night and I had a few drinks and I always sleep really badly when I’ve been drinking

listsandbudgets · 11/01/2020 06:11

Woke about 4.30. Bad cough, awful headache and rocketing pulse. 95 at moment according to fitbit and that's resting.

So many of you awake for more noble reasons

Lanurk · 11/01/2020 06:14

Night shift #2 of 4 was last night. DS didn’t let me nap much during the day as he’s outgrowing his naps so I’m pooped! Dp is getting left to wrangle them so I can pass out in about 20 minutes when I get home lol
