There's a town called Pant in North Wales.
It has a play area.
I may have laughed way too much at the "pant play area" sign as we passed Grin

We were driving through canada towards tge USA border and there was a place called Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit as it would have been a few hours detour. Think I'll probably always remember that one.

Also, a national trust property called Horsey Windpump. Hahahahahahahahahaha.

You might find that amusing, but it could be a matter of life or death to a professional carriage driver Grin Grin Grin

These are great. I've been beaten to it but Shitterton is my favourite, I also appreciate the nearby Piddlehinton and Puddletown (formerly Piddletown).

I can confirm there is indeed an Outer as well as Inner Ting Tong in the Budleigh Salterton area, also in Devon is Crapstone on Dartmoor. Not rude ones but I also like the Goonhilly Downs and Gweek in Cornwall

lotusbell · 13/01/2020 12:55

Honestly, this is the thread of my dreams. Have spent quite a while browsing the many maps and atlases my dad owns looking for humorous place names - I know it's slightly sad!
I remembering coming across (not literally!) Brown Willy in Cornwall, at primary school. Much hilarity!

LegallyBrunet · 13/01/2020 13:49

What a lovely dog!

TheDogsMother · 13/01/2020 17:46

Bobbin thank you. A few years ago so he is a very sweet, grey faced old fella now.

FishesaPlenty · 13/01/2020 18:02

SirTobyBelch · 14/01/2020 15:02

There's a Sir Toby Belch Drive in Warwick.

I presume my friend Sir Andrew Aguecheek is similarly honoured.

yellowallpaper · 14/01/2020 16:17

I just love that pop... name too! It's like some exotic flower 😀

Glorifiedg · 14/01/2020 20:03

@WoollyMollyMonkey Mavis Enderby was a milkmaid. The story is that the coast used to be much further in and the sea unexpectedly flooded the area. I think Mavis died.

I like Wasps Nest and Sotts Hole (also in Lincolnshire).
