@dementedma Puddledub- for those who don't know, in Fife a dub is a puddle.
The Paps of Jura are three mountains and pap is a word for breast.

SlightlyWizened · 11/01/2020 16:03

Oh and a friend used to live in Back Hill of Bandoddle

FairyDogMother11 · 11/01/2020 16:03

I don't think it's been mentioned, and it's definitely not as funny as some of these, but there's a place in Suffolk called Wangford, and they have a festival called the Wangfest every year and that makes me laugh like a child Grin

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 11/01/2020 16:08

We have a Rue De La Beaux De La Rue where we live, pronounced ‘roo de la boo de la roo’. Not as funny as some of the rude ones but it quietly makes me smile every time I drive through it!

That reminds me of Bill Bailey's comment asking, if potatoes grew high up in trees, would the French call them pommes de terre du ciel Grin

shreddednips · 11/01/2020 16:18

There's a Shagbrook near Dorking. I used to snigger at it as a teenager and I still enjoy it whenever I go home for a visit.
