Indulge me... DH and I have enjoyed ourselves today thinking of random words that could be names Grin A bit like when Uncle Fester said Dementia was a beautiful name. DH thinks Nausea could be lovely.

Diaper has a noble sound, for a boy.
Pannacotta for a girl.

bettybattenburg · 04/01/2020 14:30

@whattheduck Grin

RachelTension · 04/01/2020 14:30

Catheter and Papilloma for girls
Lupus for a boy

Grin
NCasIknowMNetters · 04/01/2020 14:34

Pine (other trees are used as names)

And while Pyrexia is good for a girl, what about Pyrex for a boy?

And while we're on strong male names (along the lines of the Greek Ajax - though ajax cleaner could be used here), what about Ovex?

And Viakal. I think it's fairly gender-neutral. Febreze?

anothernamejeeves · 04/01/2020 14:35

Pseudomonas....Sue for short

MockneyReject · 04/01/2020 14:36

Twins, Paxo and Oxo, and the triplets, Penné, Lasagne and Dolmio.

Guess where I'm getting my inspiration!

madnessitellyou · 04/01/2020 14:37

Fabric. For a boy. It’s strong and easy to spell.

Merlot. Like a variant on Milo.

Vidalta for a girl.

Elderflower14 · 04/01/2020 14:37

Glamour model Alicia Douvall called her daughter Papaya!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Halleli · 04/01/2020 14:38

Oh I do like Lupus.

It’s quite like Lucas or Rufus, both perfectly normal boys’ names!

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 04/01/2020 14:38

Haven't RTFT but Isis!

ThePluckOfTheCoward · 04/01/2020 14:39

I've always thought Schlong was a lovely name, a name you could really get your tongue around.

Butchyrestingface · 04/01/2020 14:40

I absolutely love Chaos. It feels so nice to say. Sculpture, Tinsel, Bauble, Secret, Frosting, Monopoly, Party, and Cactus are a few I've thought of!

Cactus could be a nice contraction of the ever-popular Caractacus.

ExhaustedGrinch · 04/01/2020 14:40

Tbh I dont see why Silk is not a name myself. I know of a woman called Silk.

Also know someone called Isis.

How about Ricochet for a boy? Ricky for short?

Mummyoflittledragon · 04/01/2020 14:42

Pneumonia is very pretty.

ThePluckOfTheCoward · 04/01/2020 14:42

I also like the names Masticate for a girl and Thug for a boy.

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 04/01/2020 14:45

Patella and Tibia, sisters to Femur.

Mummyoflittledragon · 04/01/2020 14:47

Twin girl / boy Lactate and Lubricate.

milliefiori · 04/01/2020 14:47

Melanoma is very pretty. As is Rubella.

joystir59 · 04/01/2020 14:48

Labia and her brother Epididymus

QueenOfOversharing · 04/01/2020 14:49

I love Osteotomy
And Bulbosity
I think Empathic is a good, solid name
Xenophobia is a good shout PP

Champignons is cute (obvs mushrooms, but also thrush - try pointing at your fanny & mining scratching in a French pharmacy).

I have no middle name & for years pretended it was Haberdashery.

Dyspraxia & Dyslexia

Cwenthryth · 04/01/2020 14:49

I always thought Puce should be a name. Other colours are. Teal would work as well.

Also Apricot, Satsuma. If it’s acceptable to call children Peaches, Apple and Plum then why not?

bananaskinsnomnom · 04/01/2020 14:50

Fanny and Dick, inspired by the Famous Five of course - what else would be implied here?

Meet my triplets: Ludo, Duplo and Lego - we were blown away at Toys R Us for ideas

I named my youngest You after my favourite Netflix series. Much easier just to point and say You!

QueenOfOversharing · 04/01/2020 14:50

*miming not mining. Mine your fanny if you like though.

ItsNovemberNotChristmas · 04/01/2020 14:52

I'm writing a novel and one of my characters has a pair of rag dolls she's kept since childhood, called Dystopia and Disturbia.
