I find Corbyn deeply unsettling

There is something about the man that makes me shudder - the cold detachment of the man.

I really do worry about what would be unleashed if he were elected.

I can cope with much of the sentiment in the Labour manifesto, but not the man. Similar feelings about Mc Donnell, but he seems to manage to pull out some humanity in interviews

Corbyn, not sure why autocorrect thinks it knows best there.

Actionhasmagic · 10/12/2019 19:39

I FIND YOU DEEPLY UNSETTLING BUT HERE YOU ARE

NotACleverName · 10/12/2019 19:39

God these Tory shills are getting so boring now.

Hingeandbracket · 10/12/2019 19:39

He’s a fucking million times less scary than fucking Boris and his pals.

Autumnfresh · 10/12/2019 19:39

Are you high?? He’s passionate and he cares very much for the people of this country. When did Boris ever show he cared about anything? B has reached his goal but now doesn’t know how to handle it.

B0bbin · 10/12/2019 19:40

He's so warm. Your description is bonkers.

rhubarbcrumbles · 10/12/2019 19:40

I suppose that is how a bot incapable of accurate assessment of character would think.

mistydayswampwitch · 10/12/2019 19:40

Is that you Boris?

MissCherryCakeyBun · 10/12/2019 19:41

OP I agree.....I have a veteran OH who is disgusted at his views on the IRA during the troubles he was basically supporting terrorists, now this is brushed under the carpet and ignored.
He gives me a vibe of not being trustworthy and his behaviour towards the anti-semitism aimed at Jewish members of the Labour Party is appalling.

Thankfully there are more than just Johnson and Corbyn standing and as only people in their constituencies can vote for them your better off looking at Manifestos and who your local candidates are, and if you feel strongly enough join the party you support....pay your dues and get your feet on the floor and go and and help " your" party not just at general elections but at local ones too. It's hard work but rewarding believe me I've done it on and off all my life supporting my grandfather and mother in local elections and standing myself on several occasions.

MarshaBradyo · 10/12/2019 19:41

Ridiculous, not long to go now tg

Hingeandbracket · 10/12/2019 19:42

God these Tory shills are getting so boring now.
Aren’t they just!

Wakingupnow · 10/12/2019 19:42

YANBU OP. You're quite right. Far better to vote for a man who has arranged to have someone beaten up, doesn't seem to know how many children he has, despises women, Muslims, working class, and tells so many lies that he probably doesn't know what the truth is any more. Also, his lovely best friend who thinks food banks are uplifting. Why on earth would you want to vote for a quiet.respectful man who despises homelessness and the need for food banks and wants to take more people out of poverty?

Crack on with your vote for.lovely Boris Grin

DowntownAbby · 10/12/2019 19:42

YANBU OP, but MN is MomentumNet rather than MumsNet these days so you'll probably get hounded off your thread by the rabid left.

doadeer · 10/12/2019 19:42

Eh? Cold and detached? Everyone I know who has known him as their mp for many years says he is very sincere, caring and warm.

Cold and detached would be when May visited Grenfell.

MistyCloud · 10/12/2019 19:42

@joystir59

He tells the truth.

LOL. Grin Are you here all week?!

BackInTime · 10/12/2019 19:43

Cold detachment?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 10/12/2019 19:43

Corbyn is a back bench agitator there is a place for them in parliament but to be kept on the back benches

Empathic no - not when you invite ex IRA prisoners to parliament a few weeks after the Brighton bombing and still do not apologize for this - he should have been kicked out of the party then

His empathy is entwined with his political beliefs that is truly being empathetic

He isn’t the person to be sitting at high level international discussions how would he manage to deal with Israel or the US

I don’t like Boris Johnson either we know what he is a liar and utterly ruthless

Helmlover1 · 10/12/2019 19:43

Wow, talk about a thread backfiring! You’ve gone quiet OP, you still there? Wink

Wakingupnow · 10/12/2019 19:43

Is that you Boris?

Nah, it's Stanley Grin

MarshaBradyo · 10/12/2019 19:44

Not even on the left, it’s the sentiment in the manifesto I have issue with, but the op is still ridiculous. He’s not cold and detached.

katseyes7 · 10/12/2019 19:45

Yep. Going to homeless shelters on Christmas Day (unpublicised), people queueing up to meet him, people hugging him in the street..... yep. Standing up for minorities and human rights for decades. Claiming the vast sum of £8.70 expenses for printer ink. What a bastard, ey?
So cold and detached that thousands of people have turned out in horrendous weather to support him. Not that you'll see that on the mainstream media, of course.

The cuddly, benign teddy bear that's Boris Johnson, though - running scared, not turning up to interview and meetings, hiding from people, lying, having affairs - oh yes. That's the person we want running the country, isn't it? The morals of an alleycat and a yellow streak the width of the Thames running down his back. With his sidekick, the impartial Ms Kuenssberg from the British Propaganda Corporation fangirling him at every opportunity. Lying for him. Proven to be lying for him.
Good luck with that.
And god help the rest of us. l agree with PP - it should be about policies, not personalities. The Conservatives have had 10 years. And look at the state this country's in.

DonkeyHotty · 10/12/2019 19:46

I’m finding the sudden proliferation of Tory bots on MN deeply unsettling.

LouisaJenny · 10/12/2019 19:46

He cares about people, and has spent his life trying to help others.

He’s a million times better than the moron currently in number 10.

DonkeyHotty · 10/12/2019 19:47

I’d rather have a leader that, y’know speaks to the homeless than one who burns £50 notes in front of them. Try harder, OP.

MaMaMaMySharona · 10/12/2019 19:49

You’re not voting for a person, you’re voting for a party - for their policies. Remember that since we voted the Tories in 9 years ago, we’ve had 2 unelected Prime Ministers. Don’t base your vote on who you like, base it on which party you think will help our country the most.
