I find Corbyn deeply unsettling

There is something about the man that makes me shudder - the cold detachment of the man.

I really do worry about what would be unleashed if he were elected.

I can cope with much of the sentiment in the Labour manifesto, but not the man. Similar feelings about Mc Donnell, but he seems to manage to pull out some humanity in interviews

And I don't want to saddle my children with an uncosted manifesto,

So you agree, Corbyn is full of shite, even before we look at what was missed on the totally costed manifesto that downplayed and or ignored the price of nationalisation and running costs of broadband, that ignores the other industries.

We could highlight how the fully costed manifesto was £80bn, and yet the Waspi pledge is going to cost £58bn.

We could pretend that all tory supporters lack critical thinking skills but it is obvious at this point that isn't the case.

over how many years
at what DCF rate
and which firm of actuaries confirmed that

or are you basing your quote on spin from CCHQ again

ssd · 11/12/2019 22:08

We could highlight how Boris Johnson backed the bus saying voting leave would bring 350 million back to the NHS which was a total lie...

Who's 'we', you're the one saying it. And no, not all but you're doing a very poor job of promoting the Tories - as have Johnson and co - since all you seem capable of doing is slating Corbyn instead of telling us about the positive things that will happen under a Johnson Government.

That's because there won't be any positives and the damage done to the economy with yet more Tory bungling and in-fighting over Brexit will dwarf any Labour policy - and without any benefits for the population

RedWineIsFabulous · 11/12/2019 22:17

I find it terrifying.

We will be absolutely fucked. Well and truly

ArseDarkly · 11/12/2019 22:25

Bit too much Red Wine by the sound of it...

Justanotherlurker · 11/12/2019 22:27

A momentum bot out in wild just c+p replies.

Highlighting the many caveats of Labours so called costed manifesto doesn't mean I am a tory bot, it just highlights how some like to treat politics as a team sport and has no grasp of economics when they try and spout Labours manifesto is fully costed.

You could have C+P from a better source instead of showing yourself up as much as you did.

Bintheredunthat · 11/12/2019 22:33

Please stop with still peddling all the lies & misinformation about Corbyn.
The Tories have been caught out lying too many times in the last few weeks, the public don't believe them anymore.
The whole Tory campaign has been proven to be based on lies, fake news, misinformation and scare tactics.
The simplest of searches reveals the truth about it all.
Even in the last couple of days we've had Boris refusing to look at photos of a child on an A&E floor, the health secretary is involved in spreading untrue tweets & Facebook posts discrediting the story & claiming it was a labour set-up, despite the hospital fully backing it up.
He also accused a labour activist of assaulting him until video evidence proved it was yet another lie.
Then today Boris hides in a fridge to avoid questioning of his policies & action.
Come on now, you couldn't make it up.

ArseDarkly · 11/12/2019 22:34

So let's hear all the great things about the Tory manifesto Justanotherlurker instead of just laying into other posters - show some positivity!

Bintheredunthat · 11/12/2019 22:34

How are people o.k with this?
Why isn't it illegal?

I find Corbyn deeply unsettling
ssd · 11/12/2019 23:36

The media have so much to blame for us heading towards another tory government, they have regurgitated lie upon lie, without any discretion.
Who do we complain to?
Who cares anymore??

hamstersarse · 11/12/2019 23:46

Any female Corbynites care about his support and stated commitment to the GRA - effectively wiping out the biological classification of female?

Boris certainly isn't doing that

Comradesally · 11/12/2019 23:52

Op I have not waded through all these pages but I agree.
Hes very cold and detached and is so entrenched I don't see him as a warm natural human being.

I also worry about what would be unleashed.

Cnp41 · 12/12/2019 00:24

Hey Boris - hows tricks mate? Feeling chilly are we, after today's shenanigans? So you think Corbyn is cold and detached? You were the one running to hide in a fridge today dude. You were the one who refused to look at a picture of a sick child and then tried to sneakily pocket the awkwardness...You are the one who has lied. And lied. And lied again whilst your Da slags off anyone of working class background- snidely referring to them as illiterate plebs. Yeah, whatever.
In my opinion, and it is only an opinion, Corbyn is a gentleman- in all aspects of the word. But, if you want to elect a 2nd rate Trump spitting Image figure and watch the country burn then go right ahead...

Lowbrow · 12/12/2019 00:38

Australia’s previous Labour leader was perceived by the media to be deep,y unpopular. He lost the election last May, he was expected to win, instead the Tories won. Seven months on and Australians realise they have a sociopath for a Prime Minister. Australia is burning and our PM watches the cricket. He won’t give the 70,000 volunteer fire fighters the equipment they so desperately need but has bought a plane for him to use. The firefighters who are on benefits are being cut off because they are fighting fires. Over 700 hundred homes have been lost since November.

It’s a nightmare but one light at the end of the tunnel is we have three year terms for our government. If Boris gets in you are facing another man like the worst PM Australia has ever had but for five years. You have no idea what you are facing.

Five years of Corbyn who you may not personally like is going to be a much better PM for the average Brit than a fascist like Boris. Men like Trump who appears like a dream compared to Australia’s PM and Boris are vile.

This is the type of thing that is happening in Australia under our PM. Banks are able to get away with ripping off customers, even after we have had a royal commission about the dreadful way banks have treated their customers. They have been charging dead people and not been punished at all. Our Tory government is trying to bring in legislation to get rid of unions.

ethelfleda · 12/12/2019 07:46

The issue is, the people in government with the least integrity will lie and manipulate to get in to power. The ones that have the most, don’t. And people allow themselves to be manipulated!

No magic money tree! They say. Expert there is - the money is there, just in the wrong hands.

HighNoon · 12/12/2019 08:17

I can't stand him either. But I've voted Labour today because there's much better than him in the wider party, and the conservative death cult alternative is so much worse. Hold your nose and use your head.

fligglepige · 12/12/2019 08:21

This is all the Tories have against Labour, posts from bots saying 'I don't like or trust Corbyn, who knows what terror he will unleash' when you ask why they don't like him: no reason when you ask what terror: they don't know.

Corbyn is a good man, he cares about you, Johnston doesn't give a shit about anything but using your tax money to line his own pockets!

It's really depressing me that the Conservatives are predicted to win a majority, how?? How can there be so many people willing to vote for them?

PinkCrayon · 12/12/2019 09:37

Cold? Detached?Confused He’s the direct opposite of those thingsConfused

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2019 09:40

It could have been a win for Labour with right policies - and a different person leading them.

astralweaks · 12/12/2019 12:20

Where have they been hiding Keir Starmer, I wonder? And, more to the point, why?

BertrandRussell · 12/12/2019 12:22

I reckon Starmer is hiding himself. He’ll reappear at the next leadership election.
