To not understand some mnetters obsession with wearing pyjamas

Sure, it's nice on a dark winter's evening to relax in pj's in front of the telly. But I see threads on here where posters can't wait to get in the door after work to put them on, or don't want visitors on Christmas day because they can't stay in their pyjamas etc etc.
What's the big deal about wearing pyjamas? Yes they're comfy but it's not like most modern clothes are tortuous to wear.

The fact remains if your bra is uncomfortable you're wearing the wrong size. That's a personal choice.

No, bollocks. I have been fitted at Bravissimo. I have been fitted at Rigby and Peller. I have had bras custom made.

Some bras are more comfortable than others, some are relatively comfortable and I forget I'm wearing them for the most part.

I still have never owned a bra that's more comfortable than not wearing one.

The fact remains that you're in the minority here! Everyone I know loves BRT (Bra Removal Time) me included and I'm a 34B.

Snaga · 02/12/2019 21:45

My PJs act as an off switch. The world can sod off and only my children/husband get my attention unless there's an emergency.

You can also tell how much pain I'm in by how early I'm in PJs. My girls are brilliant when they see me in PJs before them. They know I'm having a tough day and do loads of things to help me (above their normal house jobs).

I'm 36H and BRT is perfection for thirty seconds, then the boob sweat sets in Hmm

PanicAndRun · 02/12/2019 21:48

This. No matter how comfortable, soft or well fitting they are, they're still there. And since I wear them only when necessary I know they're there,I can feel them and find them more restrictive than wearing nothing.

Tvstar · 02/12/2019 21:53

I woud find it depressing to be in pj's all day, like I was an invalid

daisychain01 · 02/12/2019 21:53

I've got my Christmas PJs at the ready, 25% off in the Black Friday sale.

They're lush only 23 days til I get to wear them

Don't spoil my fun OP

daisychain01 · 02/12/2019 21:55

Going outside in PJs, noooooooooooooo, just noooooooooooo

Itsrebekahvardysaccount · 02/12/2019 21:57

I was soooooooo happy to finally drop my child off at their club tonight so I could get home and into my pjs. Having to stay in my clothes for three extra hours was painful

JaceLancs · 02/12/2019 22:40

I don’t get it either
I get in from work and take my coat off and put on a cardigan (cold house)
I will take off outdoor footwear and put on slippers
That’s it I’m comfortable!
I don’t possess PJs
If it’s warm I go to bed naked
If it’s cold I wear a loose nightshirt

BillHadersNewWife · 02/12/2019 22:47

If people love bra removal time so much, why wear one at all??

Vulpine · 02/12/2019 22:51

I prefer bra on

Chocolatefixeseverything · 02/12/2019 22:59

As long as I'm bra-less I'm happy, this is something I would NEVER do outside my four walls 😁

GrandTheftWalrus · 02/12/2019 23:03

Right now for work I'm wearing at least 3 pairs of trousers and many tops as I'm working outside overnight. So the minute I get home I get my pjs on as I want comfort.

Vulpine · 02/12/2019 23:05

TV star i agree

Zoflorabore · 02/12/2019 23:06

Love my Jim jams. There is nothing better than coming home and knowing you don’t have to go out again and taking bra off, jewellery off and clothes off.

I don’t understand how people can sit and relax at home with shoes on. I see that a lot. I have tons of leisure wear, pyjamas and lounge wear. It’s my way of separating my life and I instantly feel more relaxed and comfortable.
I tend to wear vests and bottoms rather than full pyjamas which feel a bit restrictive.

LemonPrism · 02/12/2019 23:08

I've always changed into PJs the moment I get home, my whole family does. Outdoor clothes are either tight or itchy or too hot. PJs are perfect - loose, 100% cotton and I don't care if I get stuff on them

LemonPrism · 02/12/2019 23:09

I suppose that it could be said though that I have issues with tight clothes, seams, labels, sleeves... eczema means the looser the better!

OneOfTheGrundys · 02/12/2019 23:14

Jimjams indoors. Great. Warm. Soft. Practical. Saves your nice clothes like the modern equivalent of a house coat.
Not at supermarket. Like the lady I saw with her coat buttoned over the top of pjs (like proper pjs not just leggings, T-shirt sort) yesterday. That is wrong wrong wrong. And call me a snob if necessary. Idgaf. 😊

Ivebeentohellanditscalledikea · 02/12/2019 23:47

I don't like wearing pjs unless I'm going to bed. I live in jeans the rest of the time and also don't get the whole bra thing (mines crappy cheap m&s or Asda) but I know I'm in the minority.

BillHadersNewWife · 02/12/2019 23:50

Chocolate Why? I do all the time. I don't give a shit if people think they should be upright and restrained. It's no better than a Victorian corset! I can understand people with painful breasts...perhaps if they're swinging around because they're large....but otherwise? Meh. I wear a stretchy vest.

BillHadersNewWife · 02/12/2019 23:51

Bacon exactly! It annoys me! So many women walking around in underwear that hurts or irritates! WHY? Just so their breasts look a certain way?

madcatladyforever · 02/12/2019 23:55

Ah yes PJ'S lovely but if I have to go out I wear a tracksuit. How I love lounge wear.

BlackCatSleeping · 02/12/2019 23:56

I’m a 36H. There is no way in hell Im walking around braless in public. I just don’t get why people feel the need to judge what other women do. It isn’t very nice really.

Alte · 02/12/2019 23:58

I hate pjs, but I wear comfortable clothes anyway. DD will always change into her pjs when she gets in as she wears tight clothes. Personal preference.
