I take DS to swimming. I got the times wrong turned up for the wrong lesson. I decide to go back to the changing room to wait. I find it hard to breath in the pool area, 30 minutes is ok, an hour and I can feel my asthma begin to act up.

There is a dad there getting his daughters dressed (fine) he was in the pool and he's down to his underwear.

Another dad arrives with his son, him and my DS are in the same lesson.

Anyways dad of daughters decides to get dressed... he drops his pants and is stark naked in front of his daughters. He is also by the door so if another parent was coming in their child would have walked into his penis! And it wasn't less than a minute because he was drying himself as well 🤢...

There are cubicles. He could have used a towel as well.

Why would and adult choose to get naked in a dressing room at a swim lesson for children with strangers around.

AIBU to find it bizarre?

His bum was also hairy and unattractive 🤢.

RTFT people!!! It was male changing room, OP was a woman with a boy in, who was actually in the pool so not even there. She chose to sit in the male changing room for the duration of her son’s lesson and is complaining that men were in there changing with their under 8 daughters!

And was unrepentant about commenting on the man’s bum!

If it's a school setting and a school pool and school changing rooms, wouldn't this be a boys' changing room - the one OP's son usually uses and probably headed for.

Streamside there’s a man at OHs gym who blow dries himself with foot on the bench. It doesn’t get much of a reaction except when he went in the other day he said the man was bent over and the dryer was halfway up his ass - definitely not envy. I do hope he didn’t mean literally up there...

Sorry to bump this thread but I couldn't believe what I was reading going through it and I wasn't around for it the first time either.

When DH has been out with our 3 year old DD he's always taken her into the men's room. He would NEVER dream of going into the women's as he knows that men won't feel violated by a 3 year old little girl but women and girls will certainly by an ADULT male.

So if ADULT males in the women's will make females uncomfortable and isn't allowed then the same stands with ADULT females making males uncomfortable in the men's.

We have family changing rooms, the unwritten rule is that adults don't get changed outside the cubicle and it's fine for children (some choose to change their children in cubicles and some don't). I don't think him being a man makes it worse. I would be a bit surprised if a random woman got naked in front of my young sons...they would likely comment in a child-like-innocent-but-hugely-embarrassing-for-everyone way! I agree it was weird.

In the olden days when we had Male and female changing I went with my dad, bekng the eldest at aged4/5 with younger more difficult siblings i presume, I was only relegated back to the female changing when I started loudly commenting on the difference of size an shape of the male anatomy.
