Very impressed with her clear headed answers. Envy Scottish people for having someone so good fighting in their corner.

We had the Scottish mafia under Brown and Darling, not again and certainly not Wee Jimmy.

I vote SNP, I believe Nicola Sturgeon is a good leader who has managed to keep her party together despite their main objective being tabled years ago.

I have been seen to at A&E, admitted, had various tests and a conclusion reached within 48 hours. I have then had surgery to remove said problems within the 18 week time frame, managed to get a private room and kept in overnight with no issues and fabulous care.

However I also teach. I can see the benefits of the Curriculum for excrement excellence in giving teachers autonomy but also understand and feel the daily frustrations at wanting children at one level without a nationalised or standardised assessment. Yet Scotland still strives to be the first ACE aware nation and also the first place to accurately implement a system to monitor and track the emotional health and wellbeing of pupils. I'd definitely take a standardised literacy and numeracy approach to help us achieve that level and give everyone a common aim. However I also appreciate that the cuts in local authority spending come from the reduction in money from Westminster and th misspending of my Tory/Labour coalition local authority.

AllStarBySmashMouth · 22/11/2019 23:15

I love Nicola 🙌🏻🙌🏻 best First Minister ever. Not sure what her as PM would be like though when she doesn't want to be connected to Westminster

sailorcherries · 22/11/2019 23:16

Sunset we currently have a 1+2 approach. The 1 being English and the +2 being that children should have exposure and experience in 2 additional languages by the end of Primary.

My spreadsheet is filling up with the amount of racism and sexism being exhibited on this thread.

I’m English and pro unionist. I live in Scotland. I think a lot of Scottish people don’t realise how dire education and healthcare can be in parts of England. Often there are no good options in terms of voting.

Sturgeon has been a consistent. Honest and reliable leader. Yes her politics may not be to everyone’s taste - I myself an not an SNP fan. However, on the current political climate she is a political leader with a reasonable level of integrity that delivers, I might not always agree with her but I admire her and several other SNPs and can u destabilise why they secure votes

The SNP is destroying education in scotland. The poverty gap is widening. Many issues utterly mishandled. She is not well liked by any other than the SNP cult.

sailorcherries · 22/11/2019 23:29

And to those who say the SNP has destroyed education I can assure you that if Ofsted were introduced here, along with teachers pay being awarded on a bloody merit type basis, the teacher retainment issue would be a bigger issue.

MyMiddleNameIsLaura · 22/11/2019 23:31

She’s slippery on finance. As soon as a question comes up on how she’ll deal with any deficit she becomes very unspecific.
That said I like her as much as I can like a politician.

Iggi999 · 22/11/2019 23:31

Funding to schools and hospitals has been cut due to austerity, it's not been some kind of SNP policy.
Though I did disagree with the council tax freeze.

RJnomore1 · 22/11/2019 23:35

Please please please take her and ask her about her relationship and conversations with Alex salmond regarding his numerous sexual assault charges.

The woman is not fit for office.

GrouchoMrx · 22/11/2019 23:37

Nicola Sturgeon is chilling for most of us.

The departure of Scotland will have major repercussions for England and Wales. It will guarantee a Tory government for the next decade. The dismantling of the NHS and the welfare state will lead to widespread poverty. Diminished environmental and safety legislation will be the price we will have to pay for trade deals with the US. However, a small proportion pf the population will become very wealthy on the back of this.

woodymiller · 22/11/2019 23:38

She is a hypocrite of the highest order. Wants Independence from rest of UK but wants to remain part of EU.

Saddler · 22/11/2019 23:48

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Aurignacian · 22/11/2019 23:50

She’s very popular where I live and she’s certainly not a one trick pony. I was in the audience at the debate tonight and she was way ahead of all of the other leaders. Warm, sensible and human. QT had ensured there was Scottish people there tonight but they were a small minority. Nicola brought the rest of the audience onside and she drew a great deal of honest applause.

Teddy1970 · 22/11/2019 23:51

Good god no!

soufflesavant · 22/11/2019 23:52

It’s easy to be clear minded when you’re a single party issue. Hmm

Cloverbeauty · 22/11/2019 23:55

Are you drunk or high?

Phud · 22/11/2019 23:58

Fuck no. I'd even vote for independence if the rest of the UK took her and the frankly useless SNP in exchange. I'm a Scot in Scotland and they've done fuck all for my area, not Glasgow/Edinburgh and they've done fuck there either.

TiddyTid · 22/11/2019 23:59

Jesus wept

MerryInthechelseahotel · 23/11/2019 00:06

I like her a lot. She was very good tonight, I thought. Also, she has done a lot for young people leaving foster care. It is not talked about a lot but I know she has met with care leavers a number of times to get their opinions on what it is like to leave foster care. Changes have been made and they can now stay in foster care into their 20's and if they go to university then they are provided with a laptop and money for living expenses etc and during uni holidays they are offered uni accommodation in any city in Scotland.
I think she's kind and a good leader.

JoyceJeffries · 23/11/2019 00:11

I’m a Scot in Scotland and have watched the SNP destroy the education system, police and NHS.

They’re shit.
