Answering door in pyjamas

I’ve ordered some early lunch on Deliveroo (under the weather and hungry). I’ll be in for the whole day, chilling in pyjamas.

Aibu to answer the door in pyjamas and dressing gown? Is it rude?

Last Saturday I was ill. I had spent all day trying to get warm & finally more or less managed to regain some feet and hands rather than lumps of ice, by putting on dressing gown over multiple ‘normal’ layers and sheepskin houseboots (hard soles) over woolly socks. And then the dog needed a walk desperately. It was properly dark. I couldn’t contemplate - in an obviously fevered state - taking anything off, so I added thick coat, hat & gloves over everything else & walked the dog round the streets in dressing gown & slippers - & black trackies, so they could have been pyjamas. I was slightly embarrassed by the madwoman persona going past a group of youths heading out to party, but otherwise I was warm! I’ll take it.

You're fine. My DP once answered the door to the postman wearing only too small Y fronts - that wasnt so fine!

@DontbeaBabs what about those who are mostly nude? Better to put a dressing gown on to answer the door, no?

Thank you Thigh Grin
