I can't watch the leaders debate tonight. I'm too angry.

I'm too angry about brexit. And the effect it'll have on us all. I can see a tory majority happening and it sickens me. I don't know what's happened to ordinary people. They've fell for something that will make their lives worse, sold to them by an elite that has shafted them.

I can't fucking bare it.

Not watching/watched because if I do/did I would probably break my television in an Elvis stylee because I despise Johnson so much. I know how I'm voting and Johnson could promise me a million quid and a brand new flat in Pimlico and I'd still tell him to do one.

rockingthelook · 19/11/2019 21:17

Can't abide Corbyn, Boris not much better, God, we are so screwed as a country if this is really the best we can do!

churchandstate · 19/11/2019 21:18

JC also wouldn’t provide a yes or no answer on whether or not Brexit was more important than the union

True.

Solihooley · 19/11/2019 21:18

Oh dear. That was really awful for Boris. He really didn’t sound like he had any answers other than ‘I’ve got a Brexit deal nah nah nah nana’. I wanted to know so much more about how they were going to help the nhs crisis and fill all the empty posts once we restrict movement from the EU.

maddiemookins16mum · 19/11/2019 21:18

YANBU, it just brings it home that either idiot Boris or liar Jeremy will decide our future for the next few years.
We’re doomed.

bigchris · 19/11/2019 21:19

to those saying Corbyn's stance on Brexit is unclear, you are either lying or stupid. It couldn't be clearer. Ask the public what they want and then implement it, it is called democracy. How is that hard to understand? seriously? My dd understands it and she is in 2nd grade

Does she understand we did that in 2016 Grin

WeArnottamused · 19/11/2019 21:19

I’m not watching either, I can’t, BJ makes me so angry & I really couldn’t/wouldn’t trust the conservatives if my life depended upon it.

I have real issues with how the most disadvantaged in our society, will be the ones who continue to suffer.

My sisters bf has ASD & Learning issues, but thinks when BJ gets in & drops us out of Europe, he’s going to reopen all the mines etc. & life will be wonderful. Makes me want to weep!

Driedlimes · 19/11/2019 21:20

@ajandjjmum
Did the global recession pass you by?

TabbyMumz · 19/11/2019 21:20

Brexit does seem to have brought out anger in a lot of people. There is a lady in our office who completely goes into a rage whenever anyone mentions it. I dont think it does anyone any good to act this way.

Cattenberg · 19/11/2019 21:22

I only saw the last 15 minutes due to putting DD to bed.

I wasn’t impressed by BJ parroting “get Brexit done” to every question. It was starting to sound like an attempt at brain-washing. It’s rubbish anyway; Brexit will not be “done” in January. After a deal is signed, we can look forward to several years more Brexit-wrangling.

KamikazeIdiot · 19/11/2019 21:22

I can't fucking bare it.

Bear it!
BEAR IT!
BEAR IT!

Why can't anyone on this ridiculous site spell simple words?

Mamasaurus82 · 19/11/2019 21:23

@DBML I remember that too. I also remember Thatcher and don't hold the current Conservative party responsible for all the dreadful things she did (well I try not to but her evil does seem to live on...Grin). But I think we have to look at the parties as they are now and the policies. I was really upset with labour when they were last in but I could still never vote tory because of the very things they stand for. I quite like the NHS and can't afford not to vote labour.

Nat6999 · 19/11/2019 21:24

Boris was all bluster & lies, he never answered one question properly or showed any respect towards Jeremy Corbyn. Jeremy corbyn had the balls to give proper answers, the Labour manifesto has been properly costed & he knows the answers to any question asked.

John1971 · 19/11/2019 21:25

To sum up, Johnson is a compulsive liar.

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 19/11/2019 21:26

I’m with you op. Couldn’t trust myself not to launch my tv out the window the minute BJ opened his mouth, so didn’t watch. I am so very angry.

StepAwayFromTheChoc · 19/11/2019 21:26

EverdeRose I work in a GP surgery and no one works a 5 day week from the doctors to the receptionists, full time staff mostly work 4 longer days and everyone has different day off during the week so no issue with staffing. Some people may choose 2 long days and 3 half days or similiar if it suits them. They started implementing a 4 day week to improve wellbeing for the staff and it's really helpful to have a day off midweek for appointments etc that are otherwise difficult to work around. It works brilliantly for us however not sure if it could be done for all industries Smile

yolofish · 19/11/2019 21:26

I agree with you re how JC looks. I know this is wrong but I do see BJ and think he just looks more robust. Less weedy, less scrawny and scraggly and haggard. Inspires slightly more confidence, even if his jacket is also undone and hair flopping around the shop.

or I could just say that BJ looks fat, flabby, distinctly unfit and with no dignity?

(if we are using looks as the benchmark for the future PM...)

theduchessstill · 19/11/2019 21:27

Johnson was appalling. I thought JC, who I'm no fan of, was unruffled and his answers had more factual detail by far. Not that it really matters, but he answered the awkward lighthearted question at the end pretty well too, while BJ brought it back to his shit deal AGAIN. Other than that it was all mud-slinging from him. Awful.

And he absolutely did not put the question about the NHS being sold off to bed at all. He denied it, which is not the same thing. Likewise, he may have been more unequivocal about the union being more important than brexit but, as JC pointed out, that's pretty meaningless when he's creating division between NI and the rest of the UK.

midnightmisssuki · 19/11/2019 21:27

Jeremy Corbyn really has no sense of ‘taking one for the team’. He’s a walking clown and I can’t believe that even for the better good, he won’t step down so his party stand a chance. He’s so stubborn and seems to like being the leader of the Labour Party that no matter how much shit he drags the whole party through - he’s willing to drag everyone down with him. I’m a conservative supporter and even I feel sorry for JC now - he’s a prized idiot. Without him his party stand a better chance - but he just won’t step aside. He’s not a decent person at all.

StoneofDestiny · 19/11/2019 21:28

Johnson just talked over Corbyn at every turn. His mike should have been cut off every time he did it. All he wanted to talk about was Brexit.

TurOlive · 19/11/2019 21:29

@KamikazeIdiot

Why can't anyone on this ridiculous site stop being smug and aggressive over innocent spelling mistakes?

Soen · 19/11/2019 21:29

Boris looks like he's on something. Not helpful, I know.

crispysausagerolls · 19/11/2019 21:29

or I could just say that BJ looks fat, flabby, distinctly unfit and with no dignity?

Of course you could! People need not agree

EverdeRose · 19/11/2019 21:29

Sadly I feel if Labour had a different leader they'd get in no problem. He's what is stopping them.

JasBBGG · 19/11/2019 21:30

I've just started watching on catch up. Am v confused by the increased wonkiness and glare on Corbyn's glasses. Beyond that he actually looks ill.
