I'm too angry about brexit. And the effect it'll have on us all. I can see a tory majority happening and it sickens me. I don't know what's happened to ordinary people. They've fell for something that will make their lives worse, sold to them by an elite that has shafted them.

I can't fucking bare it.

What gift would you leave 7nder the Xmas tree for each other? Ffs

Yorkshireteapot · 19/11/2019 20:52

JC doing much better than BJ - I think Boris has come across as weak and cringeworthy.

Lellikelly26 · 19/11/2019 20:53

How on earth could anyone vote labour? Where is he going to get the magic money pot from? Open borders to the entire world? I’m sorry but we cannot sustain that

RainfallfromAnotherPlanet · 19/11/2019 20:53

BJ doing much better than JC so far

Grin Good bot, Xenia, good bot.

Chilver · 19/11/2019 20:53

BJ is a bumbling bully
JC is coming across as measured and slightly bemused by this whole process.
The presenter is doing a great job considering BJ's bombastic and childish approach to this debate!!
I won't vote for either of them.....

EverdeRose · 19/11/2019 20:54

Zaffa
I voted remain. But more people voted to leave. Therefore the will of the people should be carried out.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 19/11/2019 20:54

It’s all been a bit meh tbh.

BanjoStarz · 19/11/2019 20:54

I’m too bloody angry to watch it.

I’m livid that the high court has decided this is a two horse race and that we only need to see a debate between a racist buffoon and an anti-Semite.

I’m pissed that yet again we’re having a one issue general election because we can’t either deliver what was promised or have the balls to say it cant be done and give people a choice about it.

There is so much more wrong with this country than sodding bloody brexit and that’s still all anyone is paying attention to when it comes to the general.

paintedfences · 19/11/2019 20:54

@crispysausagerolls he's only not answering because it's not about what he personally wants, he's saying 'I'm a public servant, I will negotiate a deal and then the public will vote.' Which I think is a good stance for the leader of a liberal democracy?

The 4 day week is an aim for 10 years in the future, not tomorrow. And ignore the guardian source if you don't like them, they've not made up the science... same conclusion reported across the media.

Dogsaresomucheasier · 19/11/2019 20:55

Who is the lone twit in the audience who keeps applauding Johnson?

paintedfences · 19/11/2019 20:55

@Lellikelly26 I'm confused where you heard he wants to do that? What are you on about? Confused

VenusStarr · 19/11/2019 20:56

What is BJ on about?! This is your summary, slagging off the opposition? Nothing of your policies or giving hope that things will improve. BJ told me nothing new, just repeating soundbites and telling us what a terrible job JC would do.

JC won that debate for me.

smilingElizabeth · 19/11/2019 20:56

Boris comes across as trying to bully JC. He may appear more confident but that's his bullish personality of trampling over others.

I can't see how JC's glasses are relevant here. Surely this is about integrity not about how someone's glasses look. Rather shallow I feel.

Lumene · 19/11/2019 20:57

I don’t understand how Corbyn can just get away with not revealing his stance on Brexit. It’s fucking ridiculous.

Corbyn’s personal stance is pro-Brexit. He has been quite open about it.

crispysausagerolls · 19/11/2019 20:57

paintedfences

He’s not answering because he would campaign for remain, so the deal he tries to secure will be half-arsed at best and it won’t be a proper choice.

crispysausagerolls · 19/11/2019 20:58

lumene

His Brexit stance changes with the wind

EverdeRose · 19/11/2019 20:59

Painted fences
And how does a 4 day working week actually work in practice. Do we get paid the same for less work or less pay?
Do we all have the same 3 days as the weekend?
How will it affect unsociable hours pay for staff. What about 9-5 services like dentists, GPs, office workers, will they be cramming the same work into less time?

It sounds lovely for everyone to have an extra day off but it feels like it'll end in chaos.

LoopyGremlin · 19/11/2019 20:59

Brexit aside, JC came across far better than BJ. Coherent, straightforward answers with no hesitation. I’m not voting for either but if it was a choice between then I would go for JC

churchandstate · 19/11/2019 21:00

I enjoyed that.

Ringdonna · 19/11/2019 21:00

Boris is great

Lumene · 19/11/2019 21:01

Boris is really not great.

However Corbyn is worse.

wedwoses · 19/11/2019 21:02

JC came across well but probably still a draw

was wondering how many times BJ was going to say "oven ready" but I guess if you're talking about a turkey it makes sense

LBC poll says JC 58 v BJ 42 on over 4800 votes cast...

paintedfences · 19/11/2019 21:02

@crispysausagerolls I really don't think JC would try to create a half arsed deal - I think he takes the responsibility seriously and it would be a genuine choice between the best deal possible and no brexit. But that's just my observation of his character based on past record, you may think otherwise.

Parker231 · 19/11/2019 21:02

Boris is a lying idiot but he’s so bad he is entertaining in a debate.

DBML · 19/11/2019 21:02

Boris has my vote.
