Apologies if this exists elsewhere but I looked and couldn’t see one

I thought it would be interesting to have a prediction thread

Based on what you think will happen, not necessarily what you’d like to happen

No chat, just to make it easier to read

Small Tory majority with a cluster of brexit party seats

Windygate · 03/11/2019 18:38

Hung parliament and no answers

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/11/2019 18:39

Hung parliament, Labour doing better than expected.

Venger · 03/11/2019 18:39

Hung parliament with both Labour and the Tories scrambling around to try and scrape together enough of a coalition to be able to govern. Brexit Party will gain a few seats and Johnson will once again prove himself a liar by going into alliance with them despite claims at the moment that he won't. It'll all hold together long enough to get the shortest of Brexit deals through Parliament and then it'll collapse and we'll end up with another General Election in 12-18 months time which, due to voter fatigue, will have the lowest recorded turnout of any GE but Labour will get in as the Tories will have well and truly burnt all of their bridges for at least two terms.

Venger · 03/11/2019 18:40

Shortest of deals should read "shittest of deals", autocorrect

Pilipilihoho · 03/11/2019 18:41

Hung parliamemt and minority government. Wouldn't like to call who, though - could be a Labour government as it looks like Leave vote will be split. Or Labour and Nationalist coalition, maybe?

rabbitwoman · 03/11/2019 18:45

At the moment I absolutely have no clue.

My personal belief is that Corbyn would be awesome and I really really hope he wins. I am bewildered by the ABC rhetoric (Anyone But Corbyn) I have been hearing because surely noone could believe Boris us doing a good job, but there you go. I think Boris will win. I really cannot understand it. But I think he will.

LellyMcKelly · 03/11/2019 18:46

Hung parliament. I don’t think the Brexit Party will get any seats. Farage isn’t standing and he’s basically the only one anyone has ever heard of. All they’ll do is split the Tory vote. Perhaps a small majority for conservatives but wouldn’t be surprised if they had to kowtow to the DUP who will get their 10 seats as usual because people in NI wouldn’t vote for different parties if you paid them in diamonds. I don’t think Labour will do better than expected. I think they’ll do worse. They’re a Remain party with a Leave leader who has developed a tricky fudge of a policy towards brexit. I think many of their supporters will hold their noses and vote LibDem who have a simple, unequivocal, revoke A50 message. TBH anyone who can make the whole sorry mess go away by clicking their fingers has my vote.

Ravenrob · 03/11/2019 18:48

Hoping for a Labour majority but I think we'll be stuck with the Tories for another year or so. I can see us voting again next year.

Cloverbeauty · 03/11/2019 18:51

Hung parliament.

Although, with sturgeon grasping onto a second referendum idea yet again, Scotland could be a surprise. She may lose more seats, or at least not gain any. So that could help the tories or Labour.

noblegiraffe · 03/11/2019 18:53

Hung parliament, gains for SNP and Lib Dems. Brexit Party get no seats.

No one wants to go into a coalition with anyone so we limp on with a minority government of a Tory flavour.

That said, the election campaigning hasn’t started yet! Tories fucked up their campaign massively last time, they could swing it back with a good campaign.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/11/2019 18:53

Tory majority

Not huge but enough

greenapplesred12 · 03/11/2019 18:54

big Tory majority

ScottishBlendTeaBags · 03/11/2019 18:55

Hung parliament.

Tories the biggest party but with less seats than they have now.

1 - 5 Brexit Party seats.

SNP to have all Scottish seats except 3.

Lib Dems with nearly as many seats as Labour.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/11/2019 18:57

Tories will have a much better campaign they will learn from them he mistakes and they have Boris Johnson now an excellent campaigner

Labour’s problem isn’t only Corbyn is the dragging out the possibility leaving of the EU any longer negotiating then another referendum plus the high amount of leave votes in what are usually safe labour seats. Corbyn too is a good campaigner but has lost trust given Labour’s lack of direction on Brexit

forgivemeimnew · 03/11/2019 18:58

Tory victory with some seats lost

Labour lose seats but remain 2nd party

Lib Dem’s make lots of gains

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/11/2019 18:58

LibDems nearly as many seats as Labour Grin

Yeah right

Igotthemheavyboobs · 03/11/2019 18:59

I think Labour will win, I've put a tenner on it.

AgeLikeWine · 03/11/2019 18:59

Tory overall majority Sad.

I fucking despise Jeremy Corbyn, his idiot cronies and his deluded disciples. My old party will never win again while they are in charge.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 03/11/2019 19:02

AgeLikeWine I feel the same AngrySad

TheNumberfaker · 03/11/2019 19:03

Hung Parliament. Brexit Party get none/ couple of seats.

AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 03/11/2019 19:04

Based on recent elections, whatever is the most supported view on MN will lose

It's an unfortunate bellwether, but one that has been in place for a goodly number of years

VioletCharlotte · 03/11/2019 19:06

Sadly I think it will be a Tory majority, So much 'anyone but Corbyn' rhetoric, Labour will lose seats. At the last election, Corbyn had the youth vote. They all appear to have lost interest and he doesn't seem to be doing much to galvanise them. A proportion of Labour supporters who want to remain will switch to Lib Dem, who will gain seats.

If BoJo doesn't get a majority, I'm fairly sure he'll go back on his word and get into bed with the Brexit party.

All pretty dire.

ohhhhlivia · 03/11/2019 19:07

Big Tory majority.

Meanwhile, we leave without a deal or a very shit one.

Tory voters and leavers tie themselves in knots trying to convince themselves that it's all fine.
