To pretend to be pregnant?

I have a dress that I haven't worn in ages, I just tried it on and it's less than flattering 🙈.

Would I be Unreasonable to wear it anyway and just occasionally rub my tummy so that people think I am pregnant and not just fat?

Brilliant! Go for it!

Passthecherrycoke · 01/11/2019 20:35

Don’t wear that OP. You’re lovely but something is going on with that dress

LizziesTwin · 01/11/2019 20:35

Just wear something else if you feel uncomfortable

AnotherEmma · 01/11/2019 20:36

If you're not pregnant (are you sure?) you need to go to the doctor.

You look pregnant not fat and there could be a medical problem if you're not actually pregnant.

Fuckenstein · 01/11/2019 20:36

It's my night time belly, I would be fairly slim in the morning then just get bigger through out the day.

The occasional belly rub and back stretch should be quite convincing?

No. Wear something much nicer.

Fuckenstein · 01/11/2019 20:37

It's just bloat, I have had various scans and blood tests, I am just unlucky I guess to carry my weight on my tummy and bloat up at the end of the day.

Do you have chrohns? (My MIL has and her belly swells up when she eats things that make it flare up) or are you intolerant to some foods?

Bofster37 · 01/11/2019 20:38

I think you need to see your doctor.

Tableclothing · 01/11/2019 20:38

I'm 7 months pregnant and have had several people assume I'm fat, so wouldn't recommend it.

Notajogger · 01/11/2019 20:38

No one will notice/care. Wear whatever you like!
If you pretend to be pregnant you'll shoot yourself in the foot if you order a glass of wine of something - judgy faces will pop up at that point!!

BrassTactical · 01/11/2019 20:39

Burn the dress burn it with fire.

melissasummerfield · 01/11/2019 20:39

What a weird post. This is clearly a pregnant woman, the belly button has even popped!

Fuckenstein · 01/11/2019 20:39

I honestly had scans earlier this month, abdominal and vaginal, nothing untoward going on in there. (not because of the bloat other reasons).

ISmellBabies · 01/11/2019 20:40

You're a genius op, people will tell you how radiant and glowing you look all night. Unfortunately you will get some judgy looks when glugging your fifth second glass of wine.

CAG12 · 01/11/2019 20:40

What a bizarre thread. No, dont pretend you're pregnant. What if you see people again from this eve in the future? Are you going to invent a stillbirth or a child?

Fuckenstein · 01/11/2019 20:41

@melissasummerfield I can assure you I am 100% not pregnant.

I did eat creamy veg soup and a bread roll for dinner.

TheVanguardSix · 01/11/2019 20:41

Are you absolutely certain you're not pregnant?
With that type of bloat, I'd be booking in to see my GP.

NameChange84 · 01/11/2019 20:41

Please don't take this the wrong way, it's just I identify with what you've said about your symptoms. I have Coeliac Disease and IBS. Have you tried a low FODMAP diet? This eliminated my bedtime bloat baby!

Elieza · 01/11/2019 20:41

Could you have a uterine fibroid as well as gut issues? I believe they can be the size of a football. Harmless but unflattering.
I’d be getting checked out.

Fuckenstein · 01/11/2019 20:42

@CAG12 ah, this is why I asked, you have found the downside to my cunning plan. That would be difficult to explain.

I wasn't going to actually announce a pregnancy, just rub the bump a bit.

It was just light hearted, but I might have a go of belly rubbing next time I have to wear a bikini, saves the bikini diet!

TheVanguardSix · 01/11/2019 20:42

Oh! I see you've had scans. Good! I was thinking more sinister stuff. Glad you're all clear.
You do need to change your diet. I wonder if you have a food intolerance going on.

Aveisenim · 01/11/2019 20:42

Don't pretend to be pregnant.

Have more tests done.

Freddiemercuarysmoustache · 01/11/2019 20:43
Confused
Fuckenstein · 01/11/2019 20:43

What is a low Fodmap diet?
