Or any terrifying TV shows would also be good. Thanks in advance!

28 days later still fucks with my head.

I think it was because I started watching it and had no idea what it was about. It literally terrified me and years later I still get the odd really vivid nightmare of it happening in real life.

I've been known to lie in bed thinking about what we would do if it happens Blush my solution is to hide in the loft.

Loubylou79 · 25/10/2019 14:28

I’ve watched a lot of horror films but the strangers is definitely the most scary for me. I think it’s the fact it’s a psychological horror and based on a true story

beckyvardy · 25/10/2019 14:29

I'm going to watch strangers. Is it on Netflix?

Trewser · 25/10/2019 14:29

Paranormal activity, the one with the kitchen fan

Ylfa · 25/10/2019 14:30

I seem to be in a time zone three weeks later than everyone else, internet wise, sorry for overlooking any replies while the thread slowly updates

The strangers is pants.

Funny Games the original is better. Really twisted.

BeardedVulture · 25/10/2019 14:31

The Babadook!

DareDevil223 · 25/10/2019 14:31

I started watching Sinister one night and actually had to stop it and finish it in the daylight because I was so bloody scared. It seriously freaked me out.

I'm a hardcore horror film fan from the days of video nasties so gore doesn't bother me at all but creepy really scares me Smile

DaveHedgehogSpudgun · 25/10/2019 14:33

Lights Out - I think about it every time it's dark and I need to put something in the bin round the side of the house in the dark.

FavouriteSoul · 25/10/2019 14:34

Wolf Creek is terrifying.

tabbycat985 · 25/10/2019 14:34

Following this thread as I love finding new horrors!
It's also sparked a memory of being about 11 & finding a movie called Bless The Child absolutely terrifying. I'm going to have a rewatch & see if it's as I remember!

Ylfa · 25/10/2019 14:34

I remember the original funny games, that’s true horror! Feel like I have a more supernatural itch to scratch today tho?

The Ruins.
The Conjuring (first one).

Ylfa · 25/10/2019 14:35

And thank you so much for all the ideas so far, some films I’d never remember by myself and so many I’ve never even heard of

The Exorcist gave me nightmares for a very long time.
When I saw Blair Witch, it was hilarious and most of the audience were laughing. Good fun but not scary!

MangoSalsa · 25/10/2019 14:37

Wolf Creek. Don’t watch it. Still terrifies me years later.

Pimmsypimms · 25/10/2019 14:39

My dh and dd are watching Marianne on Netflix, and their both say is very scary!!
Also, Hereditary, I had to watch the end of it behind a cushion 😱

nickEcave · 25/10/2019 14:39

Wolf Creek is terrifying and also really nasty. I didn't realise it was torture porn when I watched it and I wouldn't watch it again. Hereditary, It Follows and Babadook are probably the horrors I've been most creeped out by in recent years.

seaweedandmarchingbands · 25/10/2019 14:44

The Ring
Insidious (first one)
Exorcism of Emily Rose
The Witch

Trewser · 25/10/2019 14:45

Have you seen The Witch?

Ylfa · 25/10/2019 14:46

Definitely not looking for much torture porn or gore, but THAT scene in the middle school of hereditary, that long wtf, did that just happen - a whole film of those feels would be so perfect!

OP posts:
MissLadyM · 25/10/2019 14:46

All of the Paranormal Activity films! 😱

teraculum29 · 25/10/2019 14:46

I love Supernatural (14 series, and 15th one not fully aired yet just 2episodes so far)
The Paranormal activity 2 (watched once a few years ago, I cant be brave enough to watch it again)

Ylfa · 25/10/2019 14:47

Nope, haven’t seen The Witch (I don’t think), shall I try that first?

Grave Encounters is pretty good. Very claustrophobic. And a few jump scares, (which I don't really care for.
