"Next time I see it I'm burning it"

So I have this tshirt thats actually from quite a posh brand, it's a grey tshirt made from a really soft drapey cotton and it's dark grey and loose. I love the feel of it and how it moves, it's quite baggy and I wear it round the house.

Theres just one problem which is I left it outside in the garden for a whole winter and when I finally moved myself and brought it in last spring or something obviously I washed it, but now not only does it have a few (very small) holes on it, the fabric is damaged and staind kind of on the front almost like its rusted (if fabric could rust).

So anyway the other day I'm sitting around in it. DP has seen me wear it around before but this time he said "seriously can you not just buy another basic grey lounging tshirt? Next time I see it I'm burning it!"

Kinda lighthearted but where do you stand on wearing decrepit clothing?

I would find it hard to be attracted to someone wearing that level of “eww, slug-eaten tshirt with mysterious stains” atire

I agree with this 100%

Me too. I think in any decent relationship each partner needs to have respect for the other. To me, sitting around looking like a sack of shit, and a filthy one at that shows the exact opposite. Being comfortable and being clean are not mutually exclusive.

@AlexaAmbidextra I'll be completely honest with you - I dont look like a sack of shit, I actually think I'm a fairly good looking woman, I like my face, I like my body, I am clean, the only thing I would say is my hair could do with more frequent brushing.

It's just a tshirt with holes in.

But thank you for sharing your views.

Well woman, don’t waste your fairy good looking woman attributes wearing this on your body. Everybody starts looking for comfort and letting themselves go at some point in their lives, but there are more ways to be comfortable than wearing a piece of old shit you picked up from the garden.

@IdiotInDisguise 🤣 Point taken

Love my holey old cardi but I am still #teamburn you can't love it that much if you left it screwed up outside for a year.

@gwackywacky I'm still standing by you. The T-shirt is clean, it's not as if you picked it off your decking and put it straight on your back!
