I took this morning to recharge my energies for the surely blessed week to come. I thank my lucky stars I am #blessed enough to have the opportunity to study and #makememories with all the huns, and of course my #bff!

(I actually procrastinated this morning because if I read my notes one more time, I would scream. Grateful as I am to study in such a wonderful place, it would be far more wonderful if we actually had some down time in between the exams and don't get me started on some people who work there...)

Just tried a lush new recipe and darling hubs helped out, isn’t he great? So full now. Can’t believe how full you get from the right stuff. What actually happened is the chicken was still frozen, it was too late to put jacket potatoes in (DH doesn’t like them microwaved), not enough bread for beans on toast, the sweet potatoes had gone so I found a recipe for the ingredients I had in which included lentils, carrots and tomatoes. 40 minutes later DH is sieving this puke coloured mush that is dinner to get some of the water out (I followed the recipe by the way), this shit is spattering all over the oven. We call it soup instead of the casserole it should have been. We eat the mush. Well DH eats the mush, I eat half a bowl and can’t face anymore. The mass cleanup of lentils over the kitchen ensues and I’m still hungry. My kitchen smells of over cooked lentils. I’ve thrown the rest of the ‘soup’ which was also meant to double as my lunch tomorrow. So I’m pretty miserable, hungry and wondering if the lentils are eating through the bottom of the food waste bag and will permanently be in the bottom of my green bin. By the way, I have no problem with vegan meals, but not that shit I made today. I’m also mostly a good cook and can cook lentils so god knows what happened today.
