Can I have some spreadable butter recommendations

The fiance likes Flora, so that's what we get. We won't be buying it anymore. Used to normally use butter left out (before we were together) but would love to know if there's any good spreadable ones (doesn't have to be pure butter).

🖐 me too please... my fridge was cleared tonight!

Yeo valley is the best. Lurpak is like wax and Anchor is an unnatural yellow colour.

FrenchBoule · 12/10/2019 22:01

Need to try yeo valley. Lurpak too pricey and never liked Anchor’s colour. Currently using butterpak from tesco.

alwayscoffee · 12/10/2019 22:02

President spreadable butter. 100% butter, a French brand available from Waitrose and probably all good supermarkets.

HabbyHadno · 12/10/2019 22:03

I was just coming in to suggest Yeo Valley. So, that's seconded.

fruitpastille · 12/10/2019 22:03

Aldi Norpack

GymSloth · 12/10/2019 22:04

It does have to be pure butter, in my view! So much nicer!

I used to use spreadable butter too (anchor) but when I eventually bought myself a proper butter dish and proper butter, I realised where I'd been going wrong!

Is there a reason you don't want to go back to normal butter left out?

Sexnotgender · 12/10/2019 22:05

President is lovely, and it’s made with cream rather than oil to make it spreadable.

Surfskatefamily · 12/10/2019 22:05

Danpak and Norpak, aldi and lidls fake lurpaks

EmNetta · 12/10/2019 22:06

Sorry, I've forgotten which spreadable I used to prefer, now using small amounts of butter left out daily and wondering why you prefer spreadable now?

EnglishRain · 12/10/2019 22:07

I like the lacto free spread. Very similar to butter.

EleanorLavish · 12/10/2019 22:08

What’s up with flora??
I only use proper butter.

Inebriati · 12/10/2019 22:10

The Lidl spreadable butter is really nice. Its called something like Dairy Manor.

SleepyKat · 12/10/2019 22:10

Flora is full of palm oil and also thinks mumsnetters are a bunch of nasty transphobes.

youllhavehadyourtea · 12/10/2019 22:11

Marks and Spencer spreadable butter is lovely

Also Kerrygold spreadable.

I like both these products because they don't contain any added vegetable oil

Pure, spreadable butter. And so much tastier than any maragarine , such as Flora for example, could ever be.

Aaarrgghhh · 12/10/2019 22:11

I like golden cow. But I think that might be a brand in Northern Ireland just.

Teacakeandalatte · 12/10/2019 22:11

Why not the normal butter in a butter dish? More environmentally friendly.

GADA9215 · 12/10/2019 22:11

Country life. I buy and stock up when offer

leghairdontcare · 12/10/2019 22:11

I get norpak from aldi. Used to get lurpak before becoming a sahm then couldn't face paying £9 per kilo. DH always complains that flora isn't real butter anyway.

OverthinkingThis · 12/10/2019 22:11

Going against the majority on here so far, but for me it has to be proper lurpak

Boyskeepswinging · 12/10/2019 22:12

Another fan of President here, M&S also do a spreadable butter that's 100% butter and very tasty. Haven't found any others that don't have oil in them.

Snoopdogsbitch · 12/10/2019 22:13

Morrison's own is excellent. Often on offer too.

SinkGirl · 12/10/2019 22:14

Lurpak tastes better than any of them IMO and there’s a new Lurpak Softest that’s always really easy to spread. I wouldn’t struggle to live without Lurpak 😂

SinkGirl · 12/10/2019 22:14

*would struggle (doh)
