To be annoyed by commuters ignoring 'baby on board'?

I think the title summarises my gripe. The baby on board badge is not really working (sometimes it does, but not at rush hour and not the majority of the time). I could believe that the badge isn't noticeable enough, I don't think it's difficult in my case when you include my ginormous bump (I'm 7 months and my bump is on the large side, the rest of me pretty small).

In my experience, the majority of people sitting in the seats for disabled/pregnant/elderly people just don't bother looking up to check if anyone else needs those seats more than them.

I know I could ask for a seat but I'm too British! Has anyone found any fun shaming tactics for this situation?

I can’t believe anyone would be on the tube in rush hour unless they had to be.

Except maybe tourists.

If your badge isn't working just ask politely . If you tried to shame me you would find yourself looking extremely stupid when I calmly explain my child's invisible disability to you.

I study each way of my commute. Head down when I get on the train and only look up from my books when I'm pulling in to the station I need. If someone wanted my seat I'll need them to tap me on the shoulder to ask for it - and they can have it if they need it - but I don't spend my commute looking up to check every time it stops at a new station, I need to study.
