Don't do that. Confusing when you're calling them if nothing else

YaySeptember · 06/10/2019 11:40

I saw your title and thought, "Why not, call her what you want," but no, I think it'd be confusing. They're too similar for a brother and sister, even if they have different last names.

ForalltheSaints · 06/10/2019 11:41

Willow is a name for a cat or hamster, not for a human.

Silvercatowner · 06/10/2019 11:42

Both may end up with the shortened form 'Will" which would be weird.

Didntwanttochangemyname · 06/10/2019 11:42

Willow is a gorgeous name, but not if you already have a William.

SunshineAngel · 06/10/2019 11:44

They will both probably get called Will, which could get confusing.

Dotty1970 · 06/10/2019 11:45

Yes do it, they're different names all said and done, if you like it above others though

picklemepopcorn · 06/10/2019 11:46

What do you call William? If he's known as Billy then you might get away with it, especially with different last names.

SummerWhisper · 06/10/2019 11:46

Absolutely call her Willow. It's a fabulous name. They won't be in the same room or the same house for ever and anyway, the pronunciation emphasis on both names is different with William being a longer first syllable emphasis and Willow being a longer second syllable emphasis. Please don't start me on Pork and Fork or whatever it was!

CeeceeBloomingdale · 06/10/2019 11:46

Lovely name but far too similar. It's a no from me.

Nutjobby · 06/10/2019 11:48

Lovely name but probably too similar.

ViaSacra · 06/10/2019 11:50

No way. Far too similar. Not fair on either of them.

user1493494961 · 06/10/2019 11:54

Too similar.

FizzyGreenWater · 06/10/2019 11:55

No, that's silly.

seaweedandmarchingbands · 06/10/2019 11:58

Give it as a middle name? It’s too similar for me.

Jeezoh · 06/10/2019 11:58

Too similar and I’d think you had no imagination if you were my friend!

suze108 · 06/10/2019 12:01

After the lesbian witch in Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Excellent choice, go for it.

Stompythedinosaur · 06/10/2019 12:02

Far too similar!

Baguetteaboutit · 06/10/2019 12:04

I love Willow. If I'd have had a girl it would be right up there with the top contenders.

bobstersmum · 06/10/2019 12:07

It's like Harry and Harriet or Robert and Roberta imo, far too similar although both are lovely names seperately.

Petrichor11 · 06/10/2019 12:11

Both lovely names but you can’t them both, they’re much too similar!

Jeschara · 06/10/2019 12:13

Love the name and together William and Wiilow sound fine. My Aunt was called Willema bow that does sound similar. Willow is a completely different name. Go for it.

GPatz · 06/10/2019 12:15

'Willow is a name for a cat or hamster, not for a human'.

Just a cat or hamster? What about a dog or guinea pig? How about birds? Is it a name for a parrot?

DramaAlpaca · 06/10/2019 12:15

You already know that's a daft idea or you wouldn't be asking on here.

Pieinthesky11 · 06/10/2019 12:16
