To ask how you all feel about mixed sex loos and wards?

Just in the past day or so there have been discussions on social media about the new NHS guidelines that allows patients to choose which sexed ward they feel most comfortable in reality making wards mixed sex. And today the Old Vic is also following the recent trend to make its loos mixed sex - mixed sex with urinals, mixed sex with with stalls and gender neutral loos. Just wondering how folk feel about the end of single sex wards and loos for mixed sex provision.

I share my house with three males, they can't piss straight. Fuck sharing public loos with strange men's piss and urinals. Or having to go pee and change sanpro after a man had taken a massive dump in the cubicle.

No to mixed wards when you're vulnerable, weak, maybe immobile. Anyone could be sharing a ward with you.

Deeply uncomfortable

Mixed sex wards have got to be a massive humongous no no!

Surely a private room is an option for a trans person? Every hospital I've been in has had this option.

Toilets - meh. As long as the cubicles have doors with locks, I guess it's not a HUGE issue... I don't think... 🤷🏼‍♀️

If the toilets are cubicles with all faccilities included then there isn't a problem.
Now think about the majority of public toilets. I don't mean the ones in Starbucks, but in your pubs, clubs, public buildings etc. Now you're say in a club and getting some creep following you around. You may decide to go to the loo to ditch him. Shared loos, means he can follow you in and not be challanged.
A lot of places going the same sex toilet route have these types of toilets. They are also the same toilets that have gaps on the toilet door.

Same-sex toilets are ok if they basically resemble the disability room.

I am not saying that all males are a danger. Unfortunately, we cannot bury our heads and ignore that some males do pose a great risk to us.
An ex of mine would have loved this, instead, he had to fuck off when challanged by others in the toilets.

I am all for having an additional public space purely for the I don't care who you are people. That should be what is fought for, but it's not. This is the ideal solution, but for some reason, it isn't accepted.

Don't like them. Women do all sorts in the area by the basis, not just locked in the cubicle and the last thing we want is men in there.
