And about time, too. They never stop castigating her.

Prince Harry has said that he's worried that she'll end up being the same kind of victim that his mother was with regard to the Press.

I hope she wins her case.

@NoTheresa you obviously didn't even comprehend my post (goes back to my point about the lack of debating and reasoning skills on here). The point is, you can have an old school or old university and it rank lower academically than a newer one. Older does NOT mean better ranking. This, should not even need to be said. Confused

LaMarschallin · 03/10/2019 15:50

My point is that she is never described as thick by those who decide that someone who gets a good Honours degree at St Andrews is thick.

And it's a fair point.

I don't know enough about the American education system to know how you qualify for university entrance.

Nothing I've read about Meghan makes me think she's not bright.
The exam results of some of the royal family make me think they may not as bright as average considering their educational advantages.

Or maybe they don't even try - they've enough money. Why bother swatting for exams?

So, as long as marking is anonymous, the younger royals got their degrees fair and square.

RoseQuartzGlow · 03/10/2019 15:52

@Laurie No need to be so rude

SaraNade · 03/10/2019 15:52

International studies is usually code for the Diplomatic Corps and prepares one for a career as a Diploma or Foreign Advisor/Minister. It would have tied in well with her UN links.

SaraNade · 03/10/2019 15:54

*Diplomat not Diploma

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 15:54

“Often International Relations and International Studies are considered same. ... International Relations focus more directly on the relationship between states, bilaterally or multilaterally, whereas International Studies can encompass all phenomena which are global, like famine, gender, developmental studies, peace etc.“

Aha. I think I know which course has more gravitas.

BertrandRussell · 03/10/2019 15:55

Actually, if you are going to question how who got into where, I do wonder how Harry got into Sandhurst......

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 15:55

No need to be so rude

If the two of you quit spouting such crap I’d be much more amenable Wink

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 15:55

RoseQuartzGlow

Perhaps she is rattled?

TatianaLarina · 03/10/2019 15:56

You’d think.

But then mine was founded in 1209 so I’m nearly 400 years ahead of Theresa.

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 15:56

Look at that faux wink! It is a sure sign. Are her teeth gritted, though, is the question?
Wink

SaraNade · 03/10/2019 15:57

@TatianaLarina Grin

SwanNecking · 03/10/2019 15:57

I am sick of reading about her, she got exactly what she asked for and is loving it, however Harry looks depressed and miserable and I think he has realised he has married a woman who wants the attention and limelight, where his family clearly do not and now he is torn between them both.

BertrandRussell · 03/10/2019 15:57

Be fair- you are talking bollocks!

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 15:59

Maybe not...

SaraNade · 03/10/2019 15:59

Eff me. Confused

justasking111 · 03/10/2019 16:00

My SA friends say the visit has been a success, they do not have a celebrity chasing press as such so the emphasis there has been on the charities they visited and spoke to. Which is how it should be.

LaMarschallin · 03/10/2019 16:04

Huh?

Is this some private conversation?

And why is your new favourite word "bollocks", Bertrand?
Its worse than the dash- thing.

Oh, yellow thing Smile in case people need pictures to tell them it's not serious.

RoseQuartzGlow · 03/10/2019 16:07

@BertrandRussell
I think that Diana's paramours went to Sandhurst, didn't they? Or at least one of them. James Gilbey and the other one. Both not too bright. I think Sandhurst is a natural home for the Tim Nice but Dims.

Yes. That is how it should be.
Sadly, I suspect that it won't be remembered for that.

BertrandRussell · 03/10/2019 16:25

Bollocks has always been one of my favourite words. And people are talking It about universities And i’m sorry about- I did try for a while, but I must have slipped.

MissEliza · 03/10/2019 16:25

I actually don't think Meghan wants the limelight'. I just think she wants to use the position she's in to pursue her pet projects. I'm just a bit fed up of various royals doing that.

BertrandRussell · 03/10/2019 16:27

“I just think she wants to use the position she's in to pursue her pet projects”
But isn’t that a big part of the royal “job”? Being a patron to charities?

beanaseireann · 03/10/2019 16:31

SwanNecking
I don't think you are too far off there in your opinion.

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 16:37

I never fails to amuse me how much people believe their own projection/speculation on topics that they can't have the first possible clue about.

Unless you are a close personal friend of Harry's? Then perhaps you have this kind of insight. Are you?
