And about time, too. They never stop castigating her.

Prince Harry has said that he's worried that she'll end up being the same kind of victim that his mother was with regard to the Press.

I hope she wins her case.

Yes, and coming from the US world of celebrity makes Meghan so much more switched on doesn't it?

Meghan strikes me as far sharper but she is coming at this from a position of Hollywood celebrity where she gets to set the rules and parameters of her fame.
What rubbish

Pitterpatterpettysteps · 03/10/2019 14:38

The texts accompanying her Instagram posts suggest she is probably on a par with Harry intellectually

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 14:39

No idea how selective her University was but I doubt it was anything like as selective as St Andrews.

Much more so, it’s like 22nd in the world or something Hmm

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 14:41

That’s why she’s not described as thick, she’s academically very strong.

justasking111 · 03/10/2019 14:42

What uni. did the queen go to, would the posters describe her as dim?

Piers morgan le fay, came from the News of the World a bottom of the barrel paper, which he was sacked from when printing lies and lifting phone messages. He really is an odious oik.

justasking111 · 03/10/2019 14:43

She may dumb down her instagram posts to reach a larger audience. Anyone recall the marketing mantra KISS?

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 14:45

Northwestern (Meghan’s Uni) ranked 25th in the world. St Andrews ranked 165th in the world.

2019 data.

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 14:48

Oh she studied Drama. Ah...That ‘s a bit like Meeja Studies. Lol

US universities operate a different system anyway, don’t they? Some of them offer sports scholarships. Hmmmmm

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 14:48

That’s

Oh the pure ignorant are here, great.

I’m looking at world rankings, not sure what your point is. It’s well known that the top US institutions are very strong globally.

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 14:51

Now come off it. We ALL know Harry studied at the University of Life...

GlitchStitch · 03/10/2019 14:51

TBF to Meghan, she attended one of the best universities in the world, her degree was a combined one including international studies and I believe she also speaks fluent Spanish. I'd say she's very academically strong. But in terms of 'playing the game' W and K are the much smarter pair.

RoseQuartzGlow · 03/10/2019 14:52

My son is an actor and it's a very tough demanding training. But it isn't academic and you don't need to be a 'brainbox' to do it. I doubt Meghan would have been accepted to a red brick Uni here to study something rigorously academic.

Sashtag · 03/10/2019 14:53

I'd happily be rid of the royals (because of the institution, not the individuals) but I thought Harry's statement was great.

The Daily Mail and it's kin are the worst thing about this country.

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 14:54

Drama/Theatre as part of a combined arts degree (with International Studies) and actor training are totally different things. Be careful, your ignorance on the topic is shining through here.

Of course she would have, don't be ridiculous

justasking111 · 03/10/2019 14:56

NoTheresa must be a don somewhere (rolls eyes)

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 14:56

I doubt she would have been accepted at St Andrews. It is one of the ancient universities.

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 14:58

I doubt she would have been accepted at St Andrews. It is one of the ancient universities.

Ranked 140 places lower, globally, than the one she was accepted into

Grin Grin Grin

TatianaLarina · 03/10/2019 14:59

To meet the guy who runs the daily mail and then drop him - was setting herself up for a lot of problems

Are you suggesting that everyone who meets sperm of the devil Piers Morgan should stay friends with him?

If I met him I would drop him from a sheer height.

TatianaLarina · 03/10/2019 15:00

If she speaks fluent Spanish she could have easily studied Spanish at uni here.

angell84 · 03/10/2019 15:02

Since when did going to a university, define how intelligent some-one is?

Universities are private institutions, set up to make profit for themselves.

My friend used to work in admissions for a private university. She said that students would be stressing over having a perfect application, and doing a perfect interview.

When in reality, all that mattered to the uni, was if the students had money.

She said - if they had money to pay for it - they were in

NoTheresa · 03/10/2019 15:05

•St Andrews University founded 1410
•Northwestern university founded 1851

Hmmmmmm

angell84 · 03/10/2019 15:06

@notheresa. How does "older" mean "better" in any way, shape or form?

LaMarschallin · 03/10/2019 15:06

Re the whole thickness/university education thing.

It's unlikely that prince Charles would have got to Cambridge with A levels of a B in history and a C in French if he hadn't been prince Charles.

Are university exams marked anonymously?
I honestly don't know.
If they are, then any royal getting a degree has definitely done so on merit.
And may have done so even if they're not marked anonymously.

Big "if" though.

LaurieMarlow · 03/10/2019 15:07

St Andrews University founded 1410
Northwestern university founded 1851

What's that got to do with the price of fish?
