ALL parties need to stop fudging affordable housing and social housing . They are not the same thing. Labour if you are reading this. There are four million social housing tenants FOUR MILLION.
a. during the 2015 election Labours petition to try and secure more rights for tenants only included private tenants.
Meanwhile social tenants were losing secure tenancies when fixed tenancies came in, and things were just as bad in some social housing.
The Tories attitude to social tenants is worse but it is a cross party problem.
