When asked how Boris Johnson 'shut up' a woman grilling him, Izzi Warner said, "shoved his knob in her gob."

Her sister then said later on in the show, "I played Tig (Tag) not so long ago. But we called it #MeToo and basically we had to chase each other and either grab somebody's boob or Bum and then say (#MeToo)

AIBU or is this vile?

im not disputing that people who enjoy dark humour have a high iq etc- i was disputing that 'put his nob in her gob' was wither dark or humorous. - i appreciate that whats hilarious to one is quite dim witted to another but if thats what genuinely regarded as 'dark or dry humour' then ive been misunderstanding jim davidson all these years.

Rtruth · 23/09/2019 17:53

@Swisskit I don’t know what your Pretty Huge D*ck has to do with the size of your brain. Grin

TheLittleDogLaughed · 23/09/2019 17:56

Helmetbymidnight with you there. How is that ever dark humour? I thought it was kind of deliberately crass playground humour?

Dandelion1993 · 23/09/2019 18:00

It's two young girls having a misjudged laugh with their mates.

I found the Boris one funny too

Caucho · 23/09/2019 18:08

Are you from Tunbridge Wells? You’re entitled to find it offensive and others are entitled to find it funny. That’s life

Jillyhilly · 23/09/2019 18:43

Yes I agree that “dark” humour is something different. I just saw a video, don’t know where it was from, about a young couple walking through the countryside and getting into a fight with a landowner about whether or not they were on a public footpath. He shoots them both in cold blood, then the last scene is him strolling away saying to himself, “actually I think this IS a public footpath”.

Probably doesn’t sound at all funny in the re-telling, but actually, along with being rather terrifying, it was.

That’s dark humour.

GabsAlot · 23/09/2019 19:12

yes thats dark humour-ellie and izzy arent dark in any form

and for the record us southerners love a bit of dark humour

Ravenesque · 23/09/2019 20:36

That's not the whole or only definition though! It is also about a tragedy juxtaposed with a trivial thing.... rape and a game of tig.

Yes, it is juxtaposition as well thing as well but given that this wasn't an actual joke and that there is unlikely a thought that "we're doing this and it's really funny, because tig is really trivial and rape is pretty serious and look at us grabbing each other's arses and tits, we're so dark" it isn't really dark humour. It's girls having a laugh which other people might find funny and other people might not find funny.

@Jillyhilly, yes, that's definitely the type of thing. Similar to the film Sightseers where the couple on a caravan holiday kill random people. They seem so ordinary but ... blah, blah, blah. It's hilarious and so dark.

BeepBeeep · 23/09/2019 20:40

I have a very black and sick sense of humour.
The type that would get most Mnetters clutching their pearls so tight that they would strangle themselves.
I have no idea what MeToo movement is, nor am i interested enough to find out.
Some people are just dour and weren't deemed worthy of being bestowed a sense of humour at creation. Not their fault.

Helmetbymidnight · 23/09/2019 21:43

so you know nothing about this at all but thought youd better come on to boast about your ignorance and your lack of curiosity.
still at least youve got a far better and darker sense of humour than any mumsnetter could ever hope for.

GabsAlot · 23/09/2019 23:27

You dont know what Metoo is?

Yeah ok

TheLittleDogLaughed · 23/09/2019 23:38

BeepBeeep your humour is so sick and so dark that I think it is bordering on the serious and I’m feeling afraid.

dellacucina · 23/09/2019 23:42

Based on your description, I don't really get what the bit deal is about this tbh.

The first one sounds like she is indirectly saying Boris is a misogynistic ass.

The second is kind of funny and I don't really think it has to be seen as trivialising MeToo.

BlueWonder · 24/09/2019 05:50

Making light of the #MeToo movement is immensely damaging to its credibility. YANBU OP

This.

I'm not even going to comment on the Boris thing. So coarse. This is not humour.

BeepBeeep · 24/09/2019 08:52

In all seriousness, i have NO idea what all this MeToo is.
I've never bothered to find out being as it has no impact on my life.
Honestly, if your knickers twist any further you will slice yourself in two.

Unfortunately on this site you have to curtail humour or everyone starts foaming like a rabid dog.

WalkersAreNotTheOnlyCrisps · 24/09/2019 09:38

You're so edgy BeepBeeep.

GabsAlot · 24/09/2019 11:13

howould you know it doesnt affect you beep if you dont know what it is

Jillyhilly · 24/09/2019 11:27

It is a bit weird not to just google “MeToo” and find out what is is just for curiosity’s sake, if you genuinely don’t know what it is.

Tweetingmagpie · 24/09/2019 11:30

Anyone who watches gogglebox or appears on it is lacking in both humour and intelligence as far as I can tell Grin

BeepBeeep · 24/09/2019 20:27

Because I've managed to get through life without it, so its not something I need to know about.
No, not curious either. I'm only curious about things that have a direct impact on my life and that doesn't.

BeepBeeep · 24/09/2019 20:30

@GabsAlot
Because nothing in my life has changed 🙂

Skinnychip · 24/09/2019 20:40

And I do wish the Malones would take their bloody shoes off.

It offended me on celebrity gogglebox that Sheila Hancock sat with her feet up on the sofa with shoes on, every week!

sorry misses point of thread

Hally2020 · 24/09/2019 20:50

Breathlessness they are both as thick as pig shit! They are totally vile individuals.

yolofish · 24/09/2019 20:52

beepbeep lack of curiousity is not a trait that generally leads to educating oneself.

GabsAlot · 24/09/2019 23:22

Nothing in your life has changed-ever-ok then
