...to use someone's wheelie bin for dog shit if it's been left out for ages?

Our bins were collected last Thursday.

Some houses regularly leave their bins in the street or back alley.

If my dog has inconveniently shat, I'll use these bins to dump the poo if I pass them.

My take on this is that if people were bothered about random strangers using their bins, they'd take them in like everyone else does and like you're supposed to. If there's a bin hanging around on the around the street I'm going to assume its for public use Wink

My neighbour (who does collect his bins in like me) was shocked at my blatant use of other people's bins. I think I've gone down in his estimations and, TBH, I wasn't very high up in the first place Grin

Now, clearly the unreasonable people in all of this are the lazy cunts who can't be bothered fetching their bins in. But, aside from them, if we start from the assumption that these lazy fuckers will always keep their bins out... AIBU?

I should say these houses leave their bins out permanently.

Seriously?

Madfrogs · 17/09/2019 12:19

Use your own bin! Grim to shove it in someone else’s.

Passthecherrycoke · 17/09/2019 12:19

Eh? It’s my bin, it doesn’t matter how long it’s left out. It’s mine, not the public’s!

Sparklesocks · 17/09/2019 12:19

No it’s still not a public bin

Sadie789 · 17/09/2019 12:23

Maybe these lazy cunts and fuckers are disabled or elderly and dragging bins in and out of their gardens is a massive task for them? Maybe they’re in hospital or have been away for a while? You’re the lazy fucker but then I think that’s the reaction you’re hoping for by starting this thread.

speakout · 17/09/2019 12:24

It's grim OP. Put your shit in your own bin.

YABU and you know it. You're just pretending to think their 'laziness' justifies your unreasonable behaviour. When they choose to bring their bins in is none of your business. You chose to have a dog - use your own bin, like the rest of us do.

StrikeAPosy · 17/09/2019 12:25

@Sadie789 No, they're absolutely not elderly or disabled otherwise I'd not have called them lazy cunts.

TheQueef · 17/09/2019 12:26

Don't put your shit in other people's bin Hmm why risk causing bollox, just to be clever?
Your dog your shit.

StrikeAPosy · 17/09/2019 12:27

It looks like you all agree with this neighbour of mine that I'm U. Dammit.

Sadie789 · 17/09/2019 12:27

Oh so you know them then @StrikeAPosy? That’s even worse.

PavlovaFaith · 17/09/2019 12:28

Yeah sorry OP, I'm afraid you're being a bit of a twat. Grin

motherheroic · 17/09/2019 12:28

You know it's not for public use so I don't know why you're trying to be clever about it. User your own bin or whatever PUBLIC bin is closest.

StrikeAPosy · 17/09/2019 12:28

@Sadie789 Yes, a couple of them I know because they're dog owners so I see them around the park. The other house which does this I don't know to speak to but I recognise the people.

Passthecherrycoke · 17/09/2019 12:31

Why do you think people who leave their bins out are lazy? You know nothing about them

LauraAshleySofa · 17/09/2019 12:31

As long as it's bagged and it's just the poo and not all your rubbish from the day, you would be welcome to use my bin. Hate seeing dog poo just left on the pavement for kids to step in and hate seeing bags hung on trees.

Teddybear45 · 17/09/2019 12:31

If I was your neighbour I would be smearing manure around your bin and on the handles the second it was out.

InDubiousBattle · 17/09/2019 12:32

Yabu. Stop being so lazy, carry your dog's inconvenient shit to your own bin.

Booksandwine80 · 17/09/2019 12:33

If you dared to put dog shit in my bin I’m afraid you would find it in your letterbox.

Seriously, that’s fucking grim HmmAngry

LeysaV · 17/09/2019 12:34

CF

Nonnymum · 17/09/2019 12:34

It's a horrible thing to do. Why don't you use your own bin. It's your dog and you are responsible for cleaning up after it no one else is and you shouldn't use any one else's bin to dispose of it.

BusterGonad · 17/09/2019 12:35

It's pretty gross putting your dog shit in some else's bin, you are the lazy fucker in all of this as you can't be arsed to carry your own dog shit a few yards to your own bin.
I agree buns left out do look scabby and messy, I'd be tempted to move them out the way myself but that doesn't really justify your dirty shit being chucked in them!

StrikeAPosy · 17/09/2019 12:35

Why do you think people who leave their bins out are lazy? You know nothing about them

Because they are able-bodied and have no reason not to take their bins in other than it being inconvenient.

Perhaps "entitled" would be a better word. If everyone acted like they do and didn't take their bins in the street would look awful and it'd be a nightmare for buggies and wheelchairs.
