...to use someone's wheelie bin for dog shit if it's been left out for ages?

Our bins were collected last Thursday.

Some houses regularly leave their bins in the street or back alley.

If my dog has inconveniently shat, I'll use these bins to dump the poo if I pass them.

My take on this is that if people were bothered about random strangers using their bins, they'd take them in like everyone else does and like you're supposed to. If there's a bin hanging around on the around the street I'm going to assume its for public use Wink

My neighbour (who does collect his bins in like me) was shocked at my blatant use of other people's bins. I think I've gone down in his estimations and, TBH, I wasn't very high up in the first place Grin

Now, clearly the unreasonable people in all of this are the lazy cunts who can't be bothered fetching their bins in. But, aside from them, if we start from the assumption that these lazy fuckers will always keep their bins out... AIBU?

Yuck YABU

@LauraAshleySofa so the bin men should be dealing with burst bags of shit when they’re doing their job? There are designated bins for dog shit. If you have a dog one of the reasonable adjustments you should expect to make to your life is walking that extra distance to the designated shit bin or putting the shit in your own bin bag at home before you throw the whole bag out. If you can’t do this you’re a lazy fucker.

Bunnybaubles · 17/09/2019 12:36

You are a clarty fucker and I'd ram your dogs shit through your letter box if I caught you putting it in my bin. You actually come across as intellectually challenged, you actually think you are being clever and its amusing??

BustedDreams · 17/09/2019 12:37

I’m very pleased you are not my neighbour. Then again I don’t leave my bin out. But if I did I would be royally ticked off if people were dumping their dog shite in my bin!

BusterGonad · 17/09/2019 12:37

Sorry about the typos!

Sadie789 · 17/09/2019 12:37

@StrikeAPosy

Perhaps "entitled" would be a better word. If everyone acted like they do...

You’re just baiting us now OP.

saj90 · 17/09/2019 12:37

Our bins go out in the morning, and sit out all day until one of us gets home from work. Which is sometimes after 7pm! We are not lazy. And I'd be bloody pissed off if there were random bags of dog shit in them!

LadyGrey1013 · 17/09/2019 12:38

Absolute CF on your part OP! That's disgusting. If I were your neighbour - it'd be posted back through your letterbox.

StrikeAPosy · 17/09/2019 12:38

Manure on my wheelie bin handles and dog shit (that you've fished out of the bottom of a wheelie bin) through my letterbox... Jesus fucking Christ, that's a pretty extreme reaction to someone bunging a bag of dog shit in your bin which you keep in the street permanently.

Blimey.

It'd surely be easier to just say "Don't put your dog shit in my bin"

If it’s bagged it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.

Of course that's not lazy, we do much the same.

As I said in the OP though, our bins went last Thursday, five days ago.

These people leave their bins out all the time.

Oh the irony.
If everyone acted like you do, everyone's blood pressure would be through the roof

SuzieSunshine · 17/09/2019 12:40

It's a bin. Unless the OP is regularly filling up other people's bins with so much dog shit that they can't get their own rubbish in then what's the problem? I doubt whether the other people regularly check their bins to make sure there isn't random dog shit in it and it'll get emptied anyway.

BourbonAndTea · 17/09/2019 12:41

I would rather you bagged up the dog crap and put it in my bin than left it on the pavement - I don't you you're BU.

I don'y investigate what's in my bin, I just put it out when it needs to go out..!

Batcrazy101 · 17/09/2019 12:43

I’m shocked by the responses your getting OP I bring my bins in but I don’t know anyone that looks in their bin!! I would never know if someone put a dog poo bag in it. I say, no harm done (as long as it’s in a tied bag), at least it’s in a bin!

HappyHammy · 17/09/2019 12:43

It's your dog so put its crap in your own bin. It's ironic you think they feel "entitled".

SoupDragon · 17/09/2019 12:44

Because they are able-bodied and have no reason not to take their bins in other than it being inconvenient

Why don't you carry it to your own bin? Is it because it is inconvenient and thus (by your own definition) you are a "lazy cunt"?

hittheroadjack1 · 17/09/2019 12:45

To be honest, I would rather you stick it in my bin than leave it hanging from a tree or not picking it up at all.

But then I wouldn't want a bin full of dog shit come collection day. The odd time, fine.

redredrobins · 17/09/2019 12:45

Bags of dog shit can burst! as I discovered after some lazy dog owner threw his bag of shit in my bin 5 minutes after it had been emptied.
I had to clean his dog's shit from my bin, he, and you, are the lazy fuckers not the owners of the bins. TAKE YOUR DOG SHIT HOME to your bin.

mum11970 · 17/09/2019 12:45

Can’t see what all the fuss is about and our bins are only emptied once a month. Haven’t ever checked the bottom of my bin before dragging it in to see.

bloodywhitecat · 17/09/2019 12:47

How do you know none of them are disabled? Not all disabilities are visible and not everyone who has a disability drops it into casual conversation with the neighbour.

userxx · 17/09/2019 12:47

It really dosent bother me if someone puts a poo bag in my bin - better there than a big turd on my grass.

my2bundles · 17/09/2019 12:48

I don't understand why you need to use your neighbours bin. They are your neighbours which means your bin is extremely close by, why not just use yours? Unbelievable.

GetOffTheTableMabel · 17/09/2019 12:48

Plenty of terraced houses around here without front gardens so all the wheelie bins are on the pavement. Should they all be used as communal poo bins by dog owners too?

Templetonstunafish · 17/09/2019 12:48

I do this to the students OP. Never bring their bins in even though it completely blocks pram access down the street. The uni even went around stickering them asking them to take them in, made no difference.
Now they get my poos if I haven't gone past a bin!
