@SmellbowSpaceBowl er well I do so that's that I suppose...

OldCrone · 18/09/2019 17:57

your body may determine your biological sex but not your gender

What do you mean by gender and why is it important to you? How does it differ from any other part of your personality? What is its connection to your sex?

@OldCrone er none.. thats the point? What are you not grasping?

DickKerrLadies · 18/09/2019 17:58

I do not understand what it means to 'have' a gender. I don't have internal feelings of being all womanly. Never have. Am I trans?

NoTheresa · 18/09/2019 17:59

tizzybell

Aren’t proper nouns taught there?

tizzybell · 18/09/2019 18:02

you're all just bad feminists, trans exclusionary feminism is a disease on society. far more harmful than calling sam smith 'they'

YANBU

Lot of attention seeking nonsense.

RosesAndRaindrops · 18/09/2019 18:02

Well, you could always explain it to us. Your line of thinking is that men can change into women right?

Not biologically, I hate to potentially upset any views of me as they might not fit your narrative but I do have a grasp of biology. Transwomen aren't biologically women.
Doesn't mean they're all automatically never any women at all though.
We're obviously never going to agree, so there's no point at all engaging any further on the define, explain crap the threads go round on.

OldCrone · 18/09/2019 18:03

tizzy Not sure which part of my post 'none' is a response to, but if you mean that there is no connection between gender and sex, why should a male person who has a feminine gender be treated like a woman? If there's no connection between his gender and his sex he should still be treated like a man.

tizzybell · 18/09/2019 18:04

old crone im not answering because that is a ridiculous question

RosesAndRaindrops · 18/09/2019 18:05

Yeah. Fine. So how do we get from having a “female” gender to using sex-based provision?

Well if anyone has the answer to that one there'd be no relentless Groundhog Day threads and presumably the one who found the answer would be a very rich person lol

ameliathomas84 · 18/09/2019 18:05

What's everyone's problem?? This has nothing to do with death rates etc
Literally says about Sam smith wanting to be called they? Let's not twist the question and make it about causing arguments!

OldCrone · 18/09/2019 18:06

Transwomen aren't biologically women. Doesn't mean they're all automatically never any women at all though.

A woman is an adult human female. The definition of woman is a biological one. There is no non-biological way to be a woman.

Men can't be women. Men can't become women.

tizzybell · 18/09/2019 18:06

gender is a social construct in that "only girls like pink and boys like blue" is false

Not in the sense that if a trans person identifies as the opposite sex they are wrong? I bet none of you have ever met a trans person

OldCrone · 18/09/2019 18:07

that is a ridiculous question
What's ridiculous about it?

NoTheresa · 18/09/2019 18:07

...trans exclusionary feminism is a disease on society.

As is being taught by teachers who do not know the basic skills.
