Shalom23 · 12/09/2019 23:14

BrokenLogs · 12/09/2019 23:15

happyasasandboy · 12/09/2019 23:15

Leave at 8.50 (from the school run) and pick up kids from childcare at 6pm straight from work). Work is 15 mins from school.

DialANumber · 12/09/2019 23:15

I leave the house before 7.30 every morning and am not usually home before 6pm earliest.

I left the house at 7.20 am and got home at 7.30 pm today. I wasn't working all that time though - I pick the children up from activities in the way home. Finished work before 6pm having started at 8am.

Tomorrow I will leave by 7.15 and get home around 9pm ish - I'll actually work 8-8.30 though.

Yellowpolkadot · 12/09/2019 23:16

Work 4 days a week, leave at 6.45 get back anywhere between 4 and 6.30 depending on the day, work a 20 min drive away. 1 DC 15months old

BloodyhellMartha · 12/09/2019 23:16

Leave at 7 back at 6. Did it with 4 kids of primary age. Only one teen left at home now.

HundredMilesAnHour · 12/09/2019 23:20

Currently 8.30am-5.45pm. No working outside these hours. Reasonable money.

Previous role: 7.45am-8pm. Plus some calls/emails/travel outside these hours. Good money.

Previous role +1: 6.30am-10pm (plus working from home until midnight frequently as well as travel). Good money but huge stress and no life outside work.

Alittleodd · 12/09/2019 23:20

I leave the house at 3:45pm and get home at around 10:30pm, three days per week. On Sundays I'm out between 3pm and 6pm. Around a half hour drive each way plus driving between clients.

And I WFH in my other jobs, anything from 0 to 90 (I think is close to my record) hours per week.

One child who is 4 and in reception.

PlugUgly1980 · 12/09/2019 23:21

I leave the house at 6:45, start work 7:45-8:00 and leave the office at 16:30, pick the eldest (age 5) up from after school club at 17:45 and the youngest (age 3) from nursery at 18:00 - all home by 18:00....Monday - Friday.

ew1990 · 12/09/2019 23:23

Leave at half 6 home about 7:45 DD is 22 months

Faith50 · 12/09/2019 23:27

Leave out just before 7am, arrive home just after 7pm. I fall asleep on the train on my way home. I hate that my DC are still sleeping when I leave in the morning.

nancy75 · 12/09/2019 23:29

Leave at 8.30, home at 3.30. Mon to fri term time only. DD is 14 been doing these hours since she started school at 4

GrandTheftWalrus · 12/09/2019 23:30

It depends. On where I'm working and what I'm doing.

Last job I was 8 till 8 dayshift but it was in Ipswich for 4 weeks. So was away for just over 4 weeks all in.

DD was with my parents for the whole time.

WindsweptEgret · 12/09/2019 23:32

Leave at 7.50am, getting to work 15 minutes early, home at 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 3pm on a Friday. DC is 13.

mindutopia · 12/09/2019 23:34

3 days a week I leave around 6am and usually get home 7-7:30pm, or sometimes 8 (like today). 1 day I work school hours roughly 9-2:30 (from home). I have 1 day off with my youngest. Dc are 6 and 18 months.

It’s long days (I also work some evenings after bedtime too), but my field is very niche. If I want to be employed doing what I love, I need to commute and work those hours. But it also means dc get really quality time with dh on my long days. We don’t use any wraparound care. One of us drops them off in the am and is there to collect them at 3 every day, which is really important to me.

CookieDoughKid · 12/09/2019 23:35

Kids aged 11 and 9. WFH x2 days.
My London office days vary so usually out of door at 6:30am and back home 8pm 3 days a week. I can expense hotels but if I do, I'm usually working till 10 or 11pm at night. Days I WFH hubby goes to office in London. About once a fortnight I fly out to an EU country for work so days even longer due to flight schedules.

firesong · 12/09/2019 23:35

2 x 7.45 leave and 3.45 home
2 x 7.45 leave and 5.45 home
And do a couple of hours from home too.

Children 2 and 8.

WindsweptEgret · 12/09/2019 23:37

I was doing the same hours when DC started secondary at 11, single parent so DC latch keyed.

Rainbowknickers · 12/09/2019 23:37

I either do 7:15-2:30 or 11:15-7:30
7:15-i leave at half 6
11:15-i leave at 10:30/40 unless I get a lift and then I leave at 10:45/50

Fifthtimelucky · 12/09/2019 23:37

I'm now retired but until recently I was leaving home at 6.45 and getting back at anywhere between 7.30 and 8.30 (occasionally later if the trains were particularly bad).
