Aibu in asking him to shower the night before instead?

He seems to think I'm unreasonable. However he doesn't see how unsettled this leaves our son all day. He was sleeping through most nights before this. And has gone back to 2 or 3wake ups average and an earlier up time.

The shower is right next to sons bedroom

yeah at 4am.
YEAH at 4AM, when in fact I pretty frequently have to get up... Doesn't wake anyone because it's just a bloody shower. It's never been an issue. We live in a city too, there is always some noise and ARE all used to it. It's normal and just not a big deal. I'm guessing from your comments you have no idea about going to work super early, and protect your children from all normal background noise. That'll stand them in very bad stead for life if so because the world isn't completely silent, often even at night.

Blimey I was only joking around @ALoadOfTwaddle!

The sound of the light switch in my sons room from the attic when i sleep downstairs wakes me
In that case YOU are mega fragile and the one with the problem, and clearly need ear plugs. That's extreme.

maz7777 · 14/09/2019 09:35

You're very aggressive and extremely worked up about this.

Ha, not remotely aggressive, but I won't pretend it's not absurd to have this level of disapproval over someone showering before work. You've used exactly the same level with the opposite position, so rather ironic to say that...

maz7777 · 14/09/2019 13:35

Mmm no you're calling people fragile. I'm not responding to you anymore. You've lost the plot.

FrauHaribo · 14/09/2019 13:37

I think that poster just needs to sleep a bit more.

and consider others too, instead of being so bitter about getting up early and waking up the entire place too!

In response to waking up because of a light switch in a different room, it's a very apt description of their relationship with sleep...
