It's wet, miserable and cold today. So, I'm thinking of making a goulash tonight, I'm searching recipes now.

I love a soup or stew for dinner when it's cold, with fresh buttery bread!

What are you having?

Well I've just caught up the thread and now I'm bleedin' Hank Marvin. I'll have one of everything please Grin

Like pp autumn and winter are my favourite times of the year for food. I love a hearty stew plonked in the middle of the table with a pile of crusty bread and proper butter.

Tacos for tea tonight, pork stir fry tomorrow, hot dogs and curly fries on Wednesday, Katsu chicken for DH and DS1 on Thursday ( DS2 and I are visiting a secondary school) and Friday is likely to be something chicken - probably chicken flatbreads and wedges.

I'd start rolling out the casseroles, toad in the holes and cottage pies but DS1 isn't a big fan of any of that sort of thing so I have to eek it out slowly.... ConfusedGrin

Sandwiches today 😞 currently staying away from home so we can see family but in a hotel. We had lunch at Frankie and Bennys so it is just something light this evening. I am a bit cold and miserable at the moment and a big bowl of soup and crusty bread would go down well.....

Salmon, sweet potatoes and veg. I just did a food shop though and have a casserole, beef gratin and a roast dinner planned for later this week

AdaColeman · 09/09/2019 15:27

Tomato and mozzarella arancini, then broccoli quiche with Parmentier potatoes and asparagus, maybe some cheese to finish off with. Wine Wine

Oh I'm absolutely drooling here! A nice beef bourguignon greens & whole spuds. The house smells lovely - I'm might throw a rice pudding in the oven!

Liver and bacon casserole, mash, carrots and peas! Literally cannot wait. Even better as made by DH! Love liver but can’t bear handling it!

Shockers · 09/09/2019 17:32

Chicken, rice, puy lentils and veg, cooked together in herbs and stock- like a soupy casserole type thing.

Salmon, homemade quiche , new potatoes and salad.

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 09/09/2019 17:37

Italian veg bake –sweet potatoes, aubergine, yellow pepper and spinach baked in a spicy tomato sauce (onion, garlic, red wine vinegar, cumin and parsley) with olives and capers, topped with lots of feta, olive oil and oregano. I needed a veg injection!

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 09/09/2019 17:51

Lamb shanks braised in red wine with baby carrots, peas and sweetcorn and minted new potatoes.

I'm flipping stuffed.

It was DELICIOUS.

Whoseagooddoggiethen · 09/09/2019 17:58

Good old Oirish stew here with leftover cabbage from yesterday panfried and on the side. Ultimate comfort food.

Lamb chops, spaghetti and meatballs, trout with mash/veg, chicken biryani and veggie pasta also on this weeks menu.
