To think girls can wear clothes with dinosaurs on?

I was looking at baby clothes for my baby with my family, I don’t know the sex. I pick out a nice set with dinosaurs on, I think it was green. DSis says “what if it’s a girl?” I said girls can wear dinosaur patterned clothes too?! DM thought I was going “too far”. Am I BU? Or are they being insane? Would you dress your daughter in clothes with dinosaurs on?

LaMarschallin I didn’t think IWBU, but I’m often out of step with them, so I didn’t know whether it was me being weird (which it sometimes is tbf!) or them being weird.

I have a boy and a girl, DS had as a baby 2 x baby grows with green dinosaurs on, I saved both baby grows for DD to wear (and I knew she was a girl, confirmed at the 20 week scan)
DH and I have bought various items of clothing with dinos on for her, granted they have been in girly colours I suppose, purples, mint greens & yellow, but they're still dinosaur themed ! I thought it was the 'in thing' for girls to wear dinosaur stuff now anyway

My 4yr old DD loved dinosaurs and youngest DD has 2 dinosaur sleep suits in what might be described as ‘girly’ colours. Dinosaurs are awesome!

My 3 year old dd has a raincoat with dinosaurs on it, she is currently obsessed with super Mario and has some tops with him on them. Yanbu obviously.

My sons going home outfit was covered in dinosaurs (we had no idea what we were having) we also bought a dinosaur night light, changing mat and money box. We have a decorator in this week and he's doing some dinosaurs on his room for us. He also has about of zoo animal clothing.
I think dinosaurs are awesome and I'm a 28 year old woman...

Be warned though if you dress a newborn in any other colour than pink, everyone will assume it's a boy. Best have something pink for the hospital at least. It gets a bit wearing having to correct the constant stream of staff, who all act very confused if the baby is in white /grey/green /blue . I speak from experience!

I don’t buy into the 🦄 for girls, 🦕 for boys. My youngest dd loves dinosaurs. She also likes to wear blue and red colours. I wouldn’t hesitate to get her a green dinosaur top. Perhaps show your DM this thread so she can see that it’s not just you!

My youngest DD loves dinosaurs (she’s 2.5). She has stuff from the boys section and stuff from the girls section with dinos on.
Ironically the only child to be mistaken for a boy was DD1 while wearing a pink flowery dress at 6 months old.

Whether people think DC are boys or girls is pretty random half the time - DSs winter coat when he was one was smart navy with a red trim (gift) when he was in the pushchair/footmuff he was almost always called a 'pretty little girl'

As an aside, spare a thought for the poor DSs (like mine when he was younger) that are scared of dinosaurs, he was scared of lots of his clothes!
