I've just gone in hoping to find some decent things but it just resembled a jumble sale! Things out of their packets, in the wrong places etc. I know a few people who have bought great designer items so cheap from there but I can never find anything.

Aibu to ask what's the best thing you've bought from there?

Oh and even their actual designer clothes, that you would have heard of before, aren't the real deal. They were busted on despatched, or a show like that a while ago. Can't remember exactly what they were doing, but something about using cheaper materials or stitching them on the cheap, can't quite remember.

Oh and lots of jeans that fit me so well -usually Replay or G-Star. My last pair cost me £14...

JaceLancs · 29/08/2019 21:44

Cashmere in sale

Last winter a Karen Millen fake fur coat that even strangers came up to me in street and asked where it was from
My LK Bennett gold shoes, wrangler and Levi denim
Lulu Guiness purse and make up bags

SunnyCoco · 29/08/2019 21:44

Running shorts - cheap as anything and I’ve got so much wear out of them

ginyogarepeat · 29/08/2019 21:52

Recently - fab Herschel mac sold online for £90, think I paid around £30. Some great kids buys over the years in clothes and toys, also great toiletries finds. Love it!

Deadheadstickeronacadillac · 29/08/2019 21:53

A silver Michael Kors handbag...had spent 2 weeks in USA looking for exact same thing, came home and there it was!

Alsohuman · 29/08/2019 21:54

Valentino sunglasses, saw them in Liberty at £250. I couldn’t believe my eyes when TKM had them for £40.
Sunday Riley Luna facial oil
Percy Read hair products
Loads of candles
Those massive bars of Italian soap

I love the randomness of it, you never know what gems you’ll find.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 29/08/2019 21:54

Versace handbag which I use everyday
DKNY pyjamas
L’Artisan Parfumeur scent
Lipstick Queen lipsticks (bought massively when on sale)
Ren bath products
Heaps of Eve Lon foundation

Sometimes you strike gold - you need patience, time and luck!

Suze1621 · 29/08/2019 21:56

Bit hit and miss but generally worth a look. Pans/kitchenware, brilliant kids books for not much more than price of a birthday card and Tegu magnetic wooden blocks set for less than half price.

SageYourResoluteOracle · 29/08/2019 22:00

Hooch leather jacket about 12 years ago. It had been accidentally mis-priced at £30 instead of the £90 (IIRC) the others were, but the store honoured the marked price. The non TK Maxx RRP was £150. It's butter soft and I still wear it now.

Dramaofallama · 29/08/2019 22:01

I have bought lee jeans from there and get alot of my gym bras in there as they are normally a fraction of the price.
I have bought so much beauty and hair care products in there also.

I also love there homeware side, they do some very unique items.

PegasusReturns · 29/08/2019 22:01

Versace silk scarf
7 for all Mankind jeans
Vivienne Westwood wool coat
Havianas

Loads and load of really reasonably priced skiwear (including Roxy, Lego and a fancy Japanese brand)

GriseldaChop · 29/08/2019 22:04

I've had a few bargains, a nice Michael Kors jacket for about £40, Osprey purse, Cross pen and wallet sets for £10, a few handbags over the years. Oh, Bare Minerals starter set for £9.99. It can be a bit jumble saley tho.
My worst TKMaxx experience was unknowingly getting a pair of sexy knickers firmly attached to a knitted jumper I was wearing by the hanger. Someone alerted me to them and we couldn't get them off, the sales assistant had to break the hanger!

PoshToryTotty · 29/08/2019 22:07

A beautiful black DKNY polo neck with white bars down the sleeves. It was gorgeous and cost a tenner.

justanotherworkingmum · 29/08/2019 22:15

Fabulous Stella McCartney sunglasses for £20 😎

Cakewineorgin · 29/08/2019 22:16

I’ve found the odd nice item, usually kids clothes or home wares, but never anything designer. I searched for a Mulberry bag when they had them earlier this year but never saw one. Glad really, as someone in my Mulberry group bought one and it failed the authentification process. They returned it, stated why and it was then put back on the shelf. The concensus was that they were probably selling genuine bags, which were being bought and swapped for fakes before being returned. I’m very cautious with bags from there now.

soupmaker · 29/08/2019 22:16

Over the years I've got some brilliant bargains. Jaeger dress, Clements Riberio dress, multiple pairs of Birkenstocks, GroBags for the DDs, a pair of black suede hip top Vans for DD1, Ralph Lauren cardigan for DH, Aspery shoulder bag, Billy Bag wallets and pencil cases, John Smedley knitwear and my absolute favourite is our Judge Steamer which is over 11 years old and is pristine despite almost daily use.

pumkinspicetime · 29/08/2019 22:16

NEOM and similar candles.
