12 year old DD has just announced to me she's a VSCO girl (followed by a peace sign) then gone upstairs to FaceTime...

Google has not helped my lack of understanding. Please, someone far cooler than me, explain in layman's terms!?

Apparently they say ‘sksksksk’ and ‘and I oop’ a lot for some reason. You might need to limit her usage if she starts that or it could get seriously annoying.

@SierraNevada she doesn't say that out loud to me but I have seen it feature in WhatsApp chats (I ignore 90% of what I read as I don't understand it!). What does it mean!?

I just asked DSD (14) what it is, she said it's a pretty cool app and the girls who get into it are quite stylish in a minimalist way (basic white bitch, which apparently isn't as derogatory as it sounds) ......

DSD said she's more like gothy/androgenous so it's not her bag.

The messy bun might be tricky to get past the strict ballet teacher but I can see it working most of the time. I will supply scrunchies and hope for the best.

Thank goodness I have found people who know and can explain what this is. I have been at my DD12 for weeks now! Scrunchies apparently for wrists not hair. And I had to stop the sksksksk noise as it was getting to the point that she didn't even know she was doing it. Its all falling into place now!
