How often do you wash your towels?

I wash mine after two goes and I regularly bleach... husband thinks I'm mental? AIBU??

Your DP is worse than an animal, he is a maggot.

They're both animals. You too.
Unless you're a tree, in which case, I apologise.

orangeshoebox · 31/08/2019 10:42

daily only when we have a skin infection or worms in the house.
otherwise it's once a week or so. each their own towel and own hook to hang it to dry.

YoTheGinPussyOfStMawesOnThigh · 31/08/2019 10:58

Maggots turn into flies which are insects.

YoTheGinPussyOfStMawesOnThigh · 31/08/2019 11:02

Hooks to hang towels on to dry, hooks, well fuck me what luxury. If I had towels I would hang them off my branches to dry.

@YoTheGinPussyOfStMawesOnThigh what a name Grin

nakedscientistOfThigh · 31/08/2019 11:07

Yo, Lweji

You are both right, they are both insects AND animals

Hoping you both BUYNEW TOWELS each day or I'll have to gouge my own face off for talking to you.

This is my towel:

Towels and washing? Every day?

Hoping you both BUYNEW TOWELS each day

Just once a year, which is when I wash.
At other times I have an army of silverfish to remove smelly bacteria and dead cells from my skin.

astralplaning · 31/08/2019 12:30

I love my cat towel. It's self-cleaning Grin

Lweji · 31/08/2019 12:35

More seriously, I'll start drying myself with the hair drier. Much better for the environment than buying or washing towels.

I'm thinking Dyson full body drier.

Toastymash · 31/08/2019 12:44

I think a lot of this should depend on how easily your towels dry. I live in a hot country so I know my towels are dry again minutes after using them, so they stay clean and fresh for multiple uses. If your towels aren't able to dry quickly because the bathroom is cold and damp then they probably do need washing more often because they will get stinky quite quickly and need washing more.

HairyDogsOfThigh · 31/08/2019 12:46

You know how your hands/arms go all weird and wrinkly in those high powered dyson hand driers? Can you imagine what a body would look like, all blown out in weird ways?

Lweji · 31/08/2019 12:50

Can you imagine what a body would look like, all blown out in weird ways?

That's just one upside. Grin

YoTheGinPussyOfStMawesOnThigh · 31/08/2019 12:53

Dog you have just described my body perfectly.

I wash mine once a week, I live alone and I never bleach anything, washing is more than enough.

YoTheGinPussyOfStMawesOnThigh · 31/08/2019 18:13

This thread is so fascinating and I have learned so much. Those of you with ‘men’ in the house, how do you manage about the towelling mats that fit round the base of your toilet bowl and pillars? The things that catch the manly drips masculines make when they piss and shake.

I have an outside privy which is solely for the use of men, the window faces onto my NDN’s garden so all the smells go their way. My feeling is what I can’t smell doesn’t worry me.

LadyCarolinePooterVonThigh · 31/08/2019 18:20

Yo that is an excellent idea! Which newspapers do you use for their nail?

YoTheGinPussyOfStMawesOnThigh · 31/08/2019 18:27

I have copies of Women’s Weekly in there. The ‘men’ seem to enjoy Sister Mary Marryatt’s problem page a lot.

LadyCarolinePooterVonThigh · 31/08/2019 18:42

Hmm, funny that. I tried old copies of Motorsport, thinking it would be like Izal, but it was too distracting. DH is happy to use the Guardian, though.

Mothership4two · 01/09/2019 08:00

@Deadringer how do you wash the soap off your bits? I think my face feels cleaner after using a flannel. No squirrels here!

NoTheresa · 01/09/2019 11:07

I hate when threads descend into this tiresome “Oh aren’t we funny!” flurry of posts.
