Lidl. Had the most amazing smoked tuna with wasabi paste. I bought lots. Then they just stopped. No explanation. No goodbyes. No weaning me off.

I asked in store. They don't know. I emailed Lidl. They said they'll ask the buyers. I don't know if they did cos they didn't tell me. But it didn't reappear on the shelves.

I have googled my head off and can not find smoked tuna anywhere.

Help!! Send smoked tuna!

Seems I am tireder than I realised (bad night, early morning). I shall have a look on ebay for the herbal one.

YesQueen · 27/08/2019 12:41

@longtompot sadly not - I can't do mint hence my vast knowledge of not mint Grin
The Colgate herbal is quite nice and def not sweet. I tried the other naturals flavours and there's a definite hint of mint Sad

When I was little there was a chocolate yoghurt called Charlie Chocolate with a foil lid. It was so yummy and probably full of toxic chemicals.

Also mighty white bread, full of yummy seeds. I haven't found any other seeded bread that I like as much.

SayOohLaLa · 27/08/2019 13:41

@longtompot I've got the Colgate herbal toothpaste from Poundstretcher, and seen it in our local corner shop but not at bigger supermarkets. It's not as good as the Lidl one though. We had the one tube and DS asked me not to get it again. Come on Lidl, bring it back.

WoollyMollyMonkey · 27/08/2019 14:02

I used to buy a big brown bag of Turners chocolate misshapes in Iceland (also the Pound shops had them). (the weight was around 250g or so, so great value) and 99% of the time they were Cadbury chocolates (like Roses). About a year ago they disappeared, I suppose the new owners of Cadbury are doing something different with their odds and sods now?

WoollyMollyMonkey · 27/08/2019 14:02

Only £1 a bag - forgot to add that. Oops

CielBleuEtNuages · 27/08/2019 15:06

@MtiziK

Is it the anti-dandruff shampoo for irritated scalps? (not sure of my translation!). It's still sold in France, for example in Monoprix, as is the normal hair shampoo.

It also seems to be sold on garnier.fr website (not sure if they deliver to the UK) and amazon.fr (again you'd have to check if they deliver to the UK but they often do).

I feel your pain OP. I've had this happen a few times, most notably with M and S (quite a few years ago) with their Rice and Mushroom salad, and Aldi, with their Smoked Haddock 'melt n the middle' fish cakes. What was even more galling was that when I asked a member of staff what had happened to these items,I was told that they'd never had them in the first place! Right. So I imagined buying this items week in,week out for several years?!

rosinavera · 27/08/2019 17:46

Boots No 7 Pink a dink nail polish!! I loved it and so did everybody who saw it - vanished about 15 years ago!!!

Ariela · 27/08/2019 17:50

@ Ginkypig M&S do raspberry jaffa cakes, rectangular ones.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 27/08/2019 17:53

@KetoWithIF I don't get notifications to my email when I am tagged anyway! He's currently screaming for no reason as he's not happy with the heat Confused

Weedsnseeds1 · 27/08/2019 17:55

Not the herbal toothpaste? I love that!
If you have any Indian/ Pakistani/ Middle Eastern shops nearby, Mizwak flavour toothpaste is lovely. The picture looks like licorice root, but the taste is different.

Frogshoe · 27/08/2019 17:57

Sainsbury's cacciatore fresh pasta sauce, it's been over 10 years but I'm still not over it.

Jamie Oliver's tomato and chilli pasta sauce. It was amazing and I bought every last jar I found in home bargains but it's gone now 😭😭😭

squee123 · 27/08/2019 18:03

@TheBitterBoy Waitrose 1 Pesto alla Genovese doesn't contain cashews. Also Ocado stock a couple without cashews including Belazu Genovese

Jebuschristchocolatebar · 27/08/2019 18:30

Lidl Ireland do raspberry Jaffa cakes.

TheBitterBoy · 27/08/2019 18:37

Brilliant, I can try those pestos @squee123. I'm happy to make my own and do often, but sometimes you just want to stick a blob into a pasta sauce or pizza topping and I don't want to keep one with cashews in the house in case of mistakes.

Mammyloveswine · 27/08/2019 19:52

Aldi had some amazing naked fish cakes, was gutted as they weren't in the "seasonal" fridge...went back to buy some more and they totally disappeared.

Ginkypig · 27/08/2019 20:27

Thanks weeds

ariela thanks, ye I tried them a month or so ago but I wasn't massively impressed. Thanks though for telling me.

Kelsoooo · 28/08/2019 08:19
