Lidl. Had the most amazing smoked tuna with wasabi paste. I bought lots. Then they just stopped. No explanation. No goodbyes. No weaning me off.

I asked in store. They don't know. I emailed Lidl. They said they'll ask the buyers. I don't know if they did cos they didn't tell me. But it didn't reappear on the shelves.

I have googled my head off and can not find smoked tuna anywhere.

Help!! Send smoked tuna!

Those who are saying their Asda's have liquid talc, where do you live?! I've been looking in all Asda's in Hull for about a year as they don't recommend talc for babies now as it gets on their lungs.

We must get a lot of chub rub in Hull

NormaLouiseBates · 27/08/2019 09:55

Lush used to do the most amazing shower cream - Yuzu And Cocoa. It was my absolute favourite and then it just vanished. I've never got over it. I still think of it often. If anyone knows of anything similar I'll be your BFF for life!

Diet Cherry Coke - drank it for years and then it vanished last year, to be replaced with Fiesty Diet Cherry Coke which is utterly vile. Bastards.

welliesarefuntowear · 27/08/2019 10:27

Asda have stopped selling these. I always bought a packet on a Monday from the Asda across the road from where I work. They sell a different brand. They're not the same. The flavours aren't as good and the fish shaped ones are too big to suck on while you work.

And my ex who, upon finding out I had carefully stashed the last five bottles from the poundshop in the back of the cupboard because they were Special For Me, deliberately used it all up and laughed when I realised there was none left - cunt. Cunt. Cunt.

@MitziK Please tell me this is why he’s an ex and you dumped his stupidly clean arse for this, I’ve got rage for you!

squashyhat · 27/08/2019 10:59

@TheBitterBoy pesto is so easy to make! Basil, olive oil, pine nuts, grated parmesan all whizzed up together. So much nicer than any shop brand.

Craftycorvid · 27/08/2019 11:00

Oh, so many products, so many offenders! Clarins Pink Chocolate lipstick, Corn Silk face powder, all the original Body Shop products (especially the Glycerin and Oat facial lather). Aldi are buggers for getting in great beauty products that work and then discontinuing them....as soon as I’m dependent on the supply. The bastards! And @MitziK taking your stash is unforgivable. Glad he’s an ex!

Craftycorvid · 27/08/2019 11:05

Daredevil The best dupe for Pink Chocolate lipstick I found is an Urban Decay one called
‘Trip’ in the Comfort Matte range. It lasts pretty well too.

I loved Anthon Berg's marzipan bars for cake decorating that Tesco used to stock. Much higher almond content than elsewhere. Now vanished from the earth.

perpetuallyperplexedbylife · 27/08/2019 11:13

Agree re Lush Flying Fox. Also Clinique Gentle Light Powder. Much missed

SayOohLaLa · 27/08/2019 11:29

Are Lidl's particularly good at this? Lidl herbal toothpaste.

Someone on a thread here, where we were talking about non-mint toothpaste for a woman with morning sickness, told me to stock up as it's be discontinued soon, when I suggested it. When I went to Lidl it had already gone. I found one forlorn tube in the back of our cupboard recently. DS won't use it but keeps it on his shelf to remind him of his special tooth paste. What harm does it do to have 2 flavours of toothpaste on offer? [sigh]

(and Abbey Crunch biscuits, can we have those back as well please?)

Jjou · 27/08/2019 11:34

Lush are fuckers for this. I still miss Flying Fox. I pop in now and again to see if they've brought it back as a special, but nope. I get laughed out of the shop "oh that was discontinued ages ago..." "I KNOW I'M JUST CHECKING". Sods.

MissCharleyP · 27/08/2019 11:39

PaddingtonBearHardStare Wigan, our Asda is huge. DH got me two tubes last time as I do martial arts and I put it on my feet for graduation as we practice on mats but graduation is usually in a school hall so I use it for grip.

81Byerley · 27/08/2019 12:08

@Georgiemcgeorgeface Amazon do smoked tuna. You could add your own wasabi!

longtompot · 27/08/2019 12:09

Lidl did a couple of tinned cappuccino coffees, one was almond and one was Christmas spices. Both delicious and both GONE! Sobs. They did them for about 2 years, def 2 consecutive Christmases, and then stopped. We stocked up on several tins of each, and eeked out the last tin but it was a sad day when it was empty.

longtompot · 27/08/2019 12:12

@SayOohLaLa my dd has a problem with minty things (years of having a king when having med injections put her off) and we bought her some of the herbal toothpaste. Only managed to get one as that disappeared from the shelves.

longtompot · 27/08/2019 12:12

A king!? A mint.

Anoni · 27/08/2019 12:16

@Poochandmutt , it still exists at tesco, here yiu go

Mine are a bit old, but you never fully recover:

Cheese and tomato pot noodles
Haribo Micromix
Choo bars

longtompot · 27/08/2019 12:20

@pinkunicorn20 my dd has a dairy free peanut butter and choc spread. I'm not keen, or rather, I was after a more chocolaty spread than peanut butter. Its by Meridian.

Craftycorvid · 27/08/2019 12:21

The original Fendi perfume - you can sometimes get it on line for stupid money.

I too miss Flying Fox. I think Lush trains the staff to look blank and then do the tinkly laugh thingHmm

And Pink Chocolate lipstick was Clinique of course, doh!

pinkunicorn20 · 27/08/2019 12:27

longtompot *thank you for trying, I've actually tried that but it's not the same unfortunately.
The sunpat had a layer of peanut butter then a layer of chocolate and it was stacked that way, it was so good. I don't think I'll ever find a suitable replacement:(

@pinkunicorn20 ahh thats a shame. I hope you find something one day Flowers

YesQueen · 27/08/2019 12:34

@longtompot I can possibly assist Grin all these have adult fluoride levels
Colgate herbal (eBay)
Sainsbury's own brand kids berry
Tesco kids strawberry ice cream flavour
Colgate natural extracts fresh lemon

longtompot · 27/08/2019 12:38

@YesQueen oh thank you! She's not keen on the sweet flavours, but I bought her the lemon one recently which she seems to link. Sadly our Sainsburys seems to only stock Colgate, Sensodyne or Oral B, but I will have a look next time I'm in there.

Any suggestions for Mentadent SR replacement? It was my dhs fave as it was super minty but low foamimg. He was gutted when they stopped it. It goes for stupid prices on ebay :(
