Lidl. Had the most amazing smoked tuna with wasabi paste. I bought lots. Then they just stopped. No explanation. No goodbyes. No weaning me off.

I asked in store. They don't know. I emailed Lidl. They said they'll ask the buyers. I don't know if they did cos they didn't tell me. But it didn't reappear on the shelves.

I have googled my head off and can not find smoked tuna anywhere.

Help!! Send smoked tuna!

@KetoWithIF - my Home Bargains has been selling that apple cider vinegar. Worth a look.

ClaraThePigeon · 26/08/2019 20:40

Keto. Try Home Bargains. I got this the other day for about a pound.

X Post.

That's twice I've mentioned Home Bargains on this thread. I promise that I don't work for them, but it's amazing what you can find relatively cheap there.

ClaraThePigeon · 26/08/2019 20:42

Sometimes ridiculously cheap.

Sainsbury's have discontinued their taste the difference Pesto which was the only one I can find that doesn't have cashew nuts in it. FIL is v allergic to cashews so I don't have them in the house, and so now I can't have pesto Sad

Serenity45 · 26/08/2019 20:47

Benjyspruce - totally with you on Gucci Envy!

And slightly other end of the scale, Sainsbury's used to do the most amazing gammon and wholegrain mustard quiche which I still miss years later

AnnonniMoose · 26/08/2019 20:50

What boggles the mind is that a product is so popular that it's almost always sold out, then they discontinue it???? WTAF?

Pepperstripe · 26/08/2019 20:50

Chicken Tonight Peppercorn Sauce. My complete fave....stopped making it. I asked why and the interest wasn't as much as the others. The others are vile.

AnnonniMoose · 26/08/2019 20:51

I miss Tesco water chestnuts Sad.

Daffodil2018 · 26/08/2019 20:52

I would sell my soul for a six pack of Campbell's Condensed tomato rice soup. The staple food of my childhood!

Pepperstripe · 26/08/2019 20:53

@StarlingsInSummer - YES, the triangles were lush!!

Benjispruce · 26/08/2019 20:53

Serenity I have found a great copy on Perfume Parlour. It’s very convincing and cheap! Called Goochi Envees I think as they’re not allowed to use the name Grin

SheStoodInTheStorm · 26/08/2019 20:54

@Benjispruce I'm with you on the Stella McCartney!

Thefemalekeithrichards · 26/08/2019 20:55

@Ginkypig

There were lots of “Sondey’ Lidl’s Jaffa cakes when I went in today (they truly are delicious aren’t they?) so don’t worry 😀

Thefemalekeithrichards · 26/08/2019 20:58

@flashingbeacon

Look out for the Polish week promotion in lidl when they sell cherry, raspberry and I think...apricot polish Jaffa cakes - all lovely 🐷

GameSetMatch · 26/08/2019 20:59

Tesco did an amazing fresh nut roast about 15 years ago, I rang up and was told it will be back they just had a issue with the supplier, it’s still not back on the shelves! It was so delicious I ate it every Sunday without fail. ☹️

Benjispruce · 26/08/2019 21:02

Unfortunately perfume parlour don’t do a copy of lily !

TateWorm · 26/08/2019 21:03

@KetoWithIF @ClaraThePigeon - I'm with you on the Home Bargains love Clara. The ACV in mine is different to your one but shows that they're stocking it all over right now. I'm also not impressed as I spent a small fortune on the same one a few months ago from Amazon as I couldn't get it anywhere here.

The only thing I've learned about Home Bargains is to buy something you want as soon as you see it because if I go home and consider it, it's guaranteed to be out of stock for weeks afterwards when I go back for it. Thankfully I have a family member who works in ours so I have them look for stuff for me. Grin

Ginkypig · 26/08/2019 21:04

Phew!

They are hands down the best Jaffa cakes ever to have existed aren't they! The raspberry ones were exactly the same except raspberry flavour.

Mcvitites can bugger off.

I talk about cadburys spiras at least once a week and I think about them a lot more than that, a twirl is just not the sandy, I'd love a spira right now. Aldi stopped doing bami gorang noodles, but I've since found them in Lidl, are you saying I shouldn't get attached?? Do you think they'll go too? 😥

flashingbeacon · 26/08/2019 21:16

Thank you @Thefemalekeithrichards I will definitely stock up on Polish week. I was in actual Poland a month ago, don’t tell me I should have ignored all the scenery and museums and headed for the supermarket??

I think surely the priority in post Brexit Britain is enacting a law that says you have to advertise for a month prior to pulling any product to give people time to adjust.

ClaraThePigeon · 26/08/2019 21:16

Keto I'm going to point you in the direction of Home Bargains again. 69p for a big bag of Golden Pork Crunch the last time I bought them.
