For me it’s buckwheat crackers spread with plain yoghurt, wasabi + sprinkle of salt. It’s GENIUS.

Paprika pringles dipped in Nutella or cheese on toast with a dollop of brown and red sauce mixed together.... which I am enjoying right now!

FenellaVelour · 21/08/2019 21:33

Wotsits dipped in brown sauce.

A Masterchef winner called me a monster on Twitter, but I don’t care.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 21/08/2019 21:36

iklboo · 21/08/2019 21:46

Lemon curd & peanut butter sandwiches.

powershowerforanhour · 21/08/2019 21:52

Not overly inventive but nice:

Potato farls fried in the pan in the usual fashion, then add thin slices of cheese that half-melt on top (not grated as who can be arsed to wash the grater?).

Banana wrapped in tinfoil and baked till soft, then slit open and drizzle on the syrup from a jar of stem ginger and a squeeze of lime, eat with yoghurt.

@SamBeckett, I have issues with cream crackers. Firstly from being made to eat them after I had my tonsils out when I was 13, to “scar up” my throat. However many times I ticked the “ice cream” box on the hospital menu thing, I got cream crackers. Fast forward 20 years, different hospital with hyperemisis, I vomited every time moved. And again, apparently, cream crackers, were the miracle cure. I think Jacobs might give them to the NHS. But you’re right, everything is improved with peanut butter.

BikeRunSki · 21/08/2019 22:05

@powershowerforanhour, I really like it when my Cubs make “Rocky Road bananas”. Split a banana (leave the peel on), stuff it with mini marshmallows and broken chocolate digestives (and possibly also chocolate buttons), wrap in foil, and bake in campfire/oven/bbq for 15 mins or so.

Cheap chicken noodles cooked, then put a couple of burger cheese slices on and microwave for 60 seconds. Make sure you’ve drained the noodles first though

Home made egg and bacon muffins, egg needs to be frilly around the edges and the yolk runny. Bacon needs to be streaky, smoked, and really crispy. Lashings of real butter, and burger cheese on top of the egg.

And a good lump of strong cheddar by itself, or with sliced apple.

Thistimetomorrow · 21/08/2019 22:36

A sausage roll sandwich spread with brown sauce.
Thick stew sandwich.

longtompot · 21/08/2019 22:52

salsmum · 21/08/2019 22:54

Boiled egg and cheese sandwiches.

DieBabySharkDie · 21/08/2019 23:11

I’m pregnant so could count as cravings but I love dipping twiglets in Philadelphia cream cheese. Also pickled onions dipped in cream cheese and shoved in with a twiglet too!
I found a new combination the other day of peanut butter, cheese, ham, Braeburn apple slices in a crusty roll... so moorish!
Also... for my sweet tooth... wine gums dipped in a jar of Nutella... 😍
I don’t know how I’m not bigger than a 12... yet!

DieBabySharkDie · 21/08/2019 23:12

Bikerunski - I am trying that at the weekend 🤤

thecatinthetwat · 21/08/2019 23:29

My own go-to snack is chunks of cheese with slices of cucumber.

Yes. And to mix it up a bit - try chucks of cheese with slices of gerkin.

Bubbletrouble43 · 21/08/2019 23:36

Lump of cheddar wrapped in ham
salt and vinegar crisp sandwich
Potato waffle with golden syrup
Philadelphia on digestive biscuit

MyMuffinsStuck · 22/08/2019 07:45

This thread is my new recipe book!!

TheLetterOfTheLawTheLetter I'm substituting the honey for golden syrup and getting all over that!!

Another cheese lump/cheese roll fiend here too. You name it, I've probably stuffed or wrapped it with cheese...! Except a crumpet! The melty cheese crumpet is today's lunch!

DieBabySharkDie · 22/08/2019 09:00

Crumpets with loads of butter, marmite and cheeeeeeeeese........ I think need to go to the shop!

mogtheexcellent · 22/08/2019 10:41

Egg mayo on toast. Yum.

70sWitch · 22/08/2019 11:29

Potato waffles with melted CHESHIRE cheese on and spaghetti hoops.

Sponge fingers crumbled in cold milk.

Cheese toastie with tomato relish.

Cocktail sausages on a bun with ketchup- cold.

Overcooked custard- so it's really thick and lumpy. Even better with a flake crumbled in it.

You've set me off now.Grin

Thuglife · 22/08/2019 12:34

Cheese. Love it. Sometimes I just melt chunks in the microwave & eat them straight out the Tupperware. MmmmmGrin.

ZazieTheCat · 22/08/2019 14:54

Going to have to hide this now, I’m just too hungry!

NerdyBird · 22/08/2019 20:31

I used to like the chocolate philadelphia and reading this I've just realised I couls just mix the cream cheese and choc spread I have to make my own.
Anyway, choc spread on almost any type of cracker is good, crisps dipped in cream cheese or coleslaw, almost any combo of ham or cold meat with cheese.
I used to make a dip that I've lost the recipe if that involved blue cheese, cheddar and chopped chicken baked in a dish, eaten with crisps.

There may be a theme to my snacks!
