For me it’s buckwheat crackers spread with plain yoghurt, wasabi + sprinkle of salt. It’s GENIUS.

I’m a big fan of alternative bean humous - flagolet beans and butter beans make the best.

Baby formula (Aptamil specifically, but I'm sure other brands would work..) mixed to a paste with warm tap water and eaten with a teaspoon
I used to do this with Horlicks - and on camping holidays we'd add brandy

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 21/08/2019 16:14

Lumps of mature cheddar cheese melted in the microwave in a ramekin or small bowl, optional Worcester sauce swirled into the melted goo, eat with a spoon.

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 21/08/2019 16:18

Someone mentioned toasted malt loaf - my variation on that is to butter slices of cold maltloaf and warm through in the microwave - the malt loaf goes soft and gooey, and the butter melts. It's heaven.

Crumpets with lurpak, cheese and honey🤤🤤.

managedmis · 21/08/2019 17:47

Cubes of cheese inside hula hoops dipped in salad cream

^

Who has the time for this?! the poster, apparently

Might try this once the boss heads home for the day

managedmis · 21/08/2019 17:48

Mine is a disgusting mock crab salad. The ingredients list is as long as the M6

Footle · 21/08/2019 18:17

Slice of sourdough tin loaf , lightly toasted, with splodge of balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze, then Longley Farm cottage cheese on top.
No other cottage cheese need apply.

Starlight456 · 21/08/2019 18:24

I used to eat cheese and ham sandwiches as a child .

GiggleMcDimples · 21/08/2019 18:25

Nutella with a spoon. Blush

Crumpets with lurpak, cheese and honey

DS(13)'s favourite. Then the cat licks the 'sticky butter' off the plate he is weird though.

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 21/08/2019 18:41

A walkers cheese and onion crisp. Followed by a square of Cadbury whole nut.

And repeat.
Love the cheese and onion with chocolate flavour after.

Must have orange juice to accompany it all.

ohnoitsnot · 21/08/2019 18:52

Salt and vinegar crisps , a few drops of Worcester sauce top with cheese them in microwave until cheese starts to melt ( yes I'm an ex stoner)

RickJames · 21/08/2019 18:55

Cottage cheese with Encona hot sauce mixed in generously. Spread it on anything. It's a taste sensation with barely any calories and loads of protein.

RickJames · 21/08/2019 18:57

@footie gawd longley farm cottage cheese. It's the only reason I'd ever move back to England! The one with the pineapple 😍

Funghi · 21/08/2019 19:11

I’ve been unwell for days and had no appetite. Poor DH has handed me every meal under the sun and I couldn’t stomach it. Now, thanks to this thread, I have an entire menu to choose from.

Mash beans cheese and salad cream? YES. That is exactly what I never knew I wanted and now want nothing but it.

Bliponthescreen · 21/08/2019 20:06

Not RTFT so apologies if this has already been mentioned:
Peanut butter and sliced bananas on toast. Yummy.

covetingthepreciousthings · 21/08/2019 20:49

Something I've not had for years, but we used to have was crisps (usually seabrook ready salted) in a bowl with drizzled HP brown sauce over them.

iklboo · 21/08/2019 21:03

I also like pastrami, turkey slices, emmental cheese slices, mayo, American mustard & gherkins in a toastie. It's the only time I can eat gherkins.

Aceinthehole · 21/08/2019 21:19

Cheese and onion crisps, in a bowl with vinegar on top.

wins the thread*

jelly79 · 21/08/2019 21:20

Granary toast, spread with marmite and topped with mashed banana

MadisonAvenue · 21/08/2019 21:21

Spring rolls on a buttered soft roll.

Makirocks23 · 21/08/2019 21:25

A thin slice of salami or Parma ham with a slice of Brie and a cornichon rolled up in a sausage shape, sometimes a little spread of pate. This is mainly limited to Christmas and holidays

SamBeckett · 21/08/2019 21:27

@Bikerunski
marmite makes everything good , have you tried marmite peanut butter spread on Jacobs cream crackers ? it is wonderful
