For me it’s buckwheat crackers spread with plain yoghurt, wasabi + sprinkle of salt. It’s GENIUS.

Goats cheese on a snack a jack. Sometimes with a bit of branston pickle or sweet chilli as well.

justasking111 · 20/08/2019 22:40

In this house, primula cheese and chives spread on bread with smoked sausage and crisps, push together to crush the crisps. The kids love this.

OH marmite and marmalade or cheese and marmalade sandwiches.

justasking111 · 20/08/2019 22:40

oh and salad cream with the primula cheese sandwich.

DingDongDenny · 20/08/2019 22:41

Corncakes topped with peanut butter and nutella

lololove · 20/08/2019 22:46

Curry sandwiches - yum!

quizqueen · 20/08/2019 22:46

Banana and sultanas as a filling for a toasted sandwich-made in sandwich toaster. It was one of the ideas which came with a book with the toaster.

LittleAndOften · 20/08/2019 22:47

Thinly sliced apple drizzled with peanut butter and dark choc chips

Melted dark choc with a selection of things to dip in. Salted crisps work well.

lololove · 20/08/2019 22:47

Also as a teen (ad no idea how it started) I used to eat wheetabix and milk with salt and vinegar crisps. (not crushed in, used the crisps like a spoon)

Arseface · 20/08/2019 22:48

Spread marmalade on toast. Top with cheese, grill till bubbly.

Dairylea and marmite on carbs, any carbs.

Leftovers eaten straight from the fridge (cold lasagna with mustard or horseradish is amazing).

Also cold meat from the fridge wrapped round tomato (ham), pickles (pork), a glob of horseradish (beef), or cucumber (lamb).

Leftover veggies on tortilla chips with melted cheese etc.

Another vote for Chunks of Cheese.
Cheese should be sold like chocolate, in squares we can snap off and scoff.
Tinned fish on ryvitas with mayo and crunchy veggies in mustard and vinegar.

quizqueen · 20/08/2019 22:48

Also, jam on left over Yorkshire pudding.

TheCatsACunt · 20/08/2019 22:49

Digestive biscuits with cream cheese and some jam.
Tastes like cheesecake.

magimedi · 20/08/2019 22:51

Toast a pita bread, split, spread with peanut butter & thin slice of cheddar & pop back in the toaster for a moment so the cheese melts then add thinly sliced pickled gherkins.

(An ice cold beer is a great idea with this!)

heronsinflight · 20/08/2019 22:52

Leftover cauliflower cheese, on toast. Yum.

Singlebutmarried · 20/08/2019 22:54

I’ve been sat debating whether or not to make a tray of Yorkshires just to eat (with gravy and mint sauce)

iklboo · 20/08/2019 22:54

Laughing cow cheese with sliced pickled onions on cream crackers

Raspberry jam, peanut butter & chilli cheese sandwiches

Balsamic onion cheddar rolled in pastrami

absopugginglutely · 20/08/2019 22:55

pack of crisps with mayo

LightDrizzle · 20/08/2019 22:57

Weetabix spread with Kerrygold and then marmalade. It takes skill not to shatter the Weetabix.

ZazieTheCat · 20/08/2019 22:57

Ice cream smushed up and eaten like a dip with spicy tortilla chips

Mushrooms finely sliced and fried like crisps

Sandwich, any filling but with two well fired potato waffles as the bread

Tesco Finest Ridge cut crisps dipped in hot aivar

Smoked salmon rolled round a finger of pineapple

I’m halfway through a three week long medically prescribed liquid diet for stomach pains. I am longing for food.

outnumbered77 · 20/08/2019 22:57

Toast with butter, strawberry jam and sliced cheddar. Yum.
Also love the combination of salt and vinegar crisps and milk chocolate.

Celticrose · 20/08/2019 22:57

I use to have many years ago Ryvita buttered with Apriot jam. Maybe will give it a try again. I also used to cook pasta usually macaroni (not many other shapes available back then) with all sorts of veg including brussel sprouts!!!! and mix it with parsley sauce. Made this when on my own in the house. Not sure I could stomach it now.

bobstersmum · 20/08/2019 22:58

Someone at work used to make us grated cheese and spring onion mixed with mayo and spread on toast then put under the grill to go warm and melty mushy, it was amazing.

SneakAttackDamage · 20/08/2019 22:59

Nutella and brown sauce / marmite sandwiches

KitKat dipped in especially garlicky houmous

Celticrose · 20/08/2019 22:59

Also love Christmas cake and cheese especially the crumbly sort.

covetingthepreciousthings · 20/08/2019 23:00

Raw mushrooms, pop out the stem bit, add salad cream & a sprinkle of salt.

Lauralaaaa · 20/08/2019 23:01

I love sweet onion ryvitas with pasata on top and some cheese. They are like healthy mini pizzas, absolutely delicious!
