For me it’s buckwheat crackers spread with plain yoghurt, wasabi + sprinkle of salt. It’s GENIUS.

I'm another one who goes for peanut butter and pickled onion sandwiches. Or ritz crackers and cheese with a pickled onion on the side but "accidentally" spilling so much vinegar on the plate that the crackers go soggy.

Or a bowl of various pickled things and cheese.

Or white bread, cucumber, cheese, mayo, mint sauce (not jelly). Lush.

Plain crisp sandwiches.
Plain crisp, ham and Philadelphia sandwiches.
Apple sandwiches.

Sparklfairy · 20/08/2019 22:15

Cheese. On a plate. Microwaved till melty. Smothered in psycho hot sauce. Eat with a spoon.

NewMinouMinou · 20/08/2019 22:15

Slices of apple covered in peanut butter. The kids and I have slightly unstable blood sugar and this is a go-to fix.

Clangus00 · 20/08/2019 22:16

Not a snack as such but a Cadbury’s wildlife bar dipped into hot Heinz lentil soup.

Stravapalava · 20/08/2019 22:17

Jelly with fruit chopped up.
Melted babybel done in the microwave so it kind of goes cripsy and gooey.
Cucumber spread with bovril.
Rice cakes with chocolate spread & salt.

@GibbonLover my pleasure! Rub chicken with olive oil and paprika before it goes in the oven, although I only do that to give the chicken a nice colour Blush

bionicnemonic · 20/08/2019 22:20

Farleys rusk with crunchy peanut butter...

AliceAbsolum · 20/08/2019 22:21

Rich tea biscuit with choc spread

Frozen banana dipped in peanut butter

Apple and peanut butter

Apple yogurt with peanut butter

Wheetabix with almond milk, jam and.... Peanut butter!

All vegan, all amazing

Bookmarking this thread, some of these sound so bad in the abstract, they must be good! @HappyParent2000 that sounds beautiful but Jesus an awful amount of work. Brilliant if you can get someone yo make it for you!

@PookieDo, going to have to try this out.

Cheddar cheese and marmalade on toast

joystir59 · 20/08/2019 22:23

Squares of dark chocolate dipped in coffee and sucked

AguerosAngel · 20/08/2019 22:24

Frazzled laid out on a plate with a teaspoon of cheesy coleslaw on top.
Slices of Edam (from Aldi) topped with sliced Chorizo and then rolled up.

My two favourite things just now!

Kwackerly · 20/08/2019 22:24

Fish sticks with sliced up gherkins and the gherkin vinegar (must be Morrisons gherkins)

wishingyouluck · 20/08/2019 22:24

@NameChange84 .. Oooh I do something similar to this which I made up as a kid (and still do if I'm having a carbfest). Potato waffle, fried egg, ketchup, 2 slices of plastic cheese in a sandwich of lightly toasted white bread. Yes it's unhealthy but everybody I have made it for has loved it!!

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 20/08/2019 22:24

A pickled egg put into a pack of crisps, makes the crisps taste all pickled eggy, then the pickled egg last just tops it all off.

Bravelurker · 20/08/2019 22:24

Mine is more of a small /can't be arsed to cook meal but baked beans with tons of paprika /chilli powder with coleslaw. Inspired by a Mexican dish from work canteen.

clucky3 · 20/08/2019 22:25

Not particularly out there but I love banana on toast

36degrees · 20/08/2019 22:27

The last bit of leftover chilli con carne on top of two hash browns. Bonus points for soured cream, and/or grated cheese.

oohyoudevilyou · 20/08/2019 22:27

Baby formula (Aptamil specifically, but I'm sure other brands would work..) mixed to a paste with warm tap water and eaten with a teaspoon. Blush

Pieceofpurplesky · 20/08/2019 22:29

Cheese and baked bean toastier. Must be Heinz with full salt and sugar

Arseface · 20/08/2019 22:31

Monkey Breakfast - bananas, nuts and berries, handed out to the kids by whoever’s drawn the short straw the morning after the night before Wink

Hadenoughofitall441 · 20/08/2019 22:32

Chunks of cheese and just dip them in salad cream.

Bigmango · 20/08/2019 22:35

Lots of you sound like you’ve been puffing a few jazz cigarettes before trying these bizarre combos. Saying that, I swear by apricot jam or marmalade and a fried egg on toast (or scrambled if I’m feeling fancy).
