DH left me at home with no snacks

30 weeks pregnant. DD asleep.
DH gone to friends house for drinks. Which is fine but I asked him to get me pudding and a drink from the shop at the end of the road before he left. He left and forgot to get it even though I said it as he was saying bye. AIBU to be majorly pissed off and grumpy.
He's at friends now and won't be back before I'm in bed.
I wanted something nice to drink and some chocolate!! Sad

Check your local takeaway menus for desserts - my local pizza/grill house does chocolate fudge cake and sticky toffee pudding and they will happily deliver even if that's all you order Grin

I have not done this ever

Disfordarkchocolate · 09/08/2019 21:24

You're making them wrong @Saturdaycartoon, a liberal sprinkling of dark chocolate chips and you're in heaven (but fat). Don't ask how I know.

Aus84 · 09/08/2019 21:24

What ingredients do you have? Maybe someone creative can make a suggestion?

user1493494961 · 09/08/2019 21:24

Get a grip.

NoSauce · 09/08/2019 21:24

Jam on toast?

Socksontheradiator · 09/08/2019 21:25

YANBU!

Sending cyber chocolate and hugs!

AnneLovesGilbert · 09/08/2019 21:25

In perfect health thank you and off to whip myself up a batch Saturdaycartoon Grin

I don’t really do chocolate but got a hell of a sweet tooth when I was heavily pregnant a few months ago and sticky syrupy flapjacks hot straight out of the pan 15 minutes after I fancied some hit the spot every time.

Howdidido · 09/08/2019 21:25

I'm being left to enjoy watching crappy tv on my own with only pregnancy hormone to be keep me company! It is worse than being left to starve!!! I have no chocolate or cocoa powder!

YABU! Cut the poor woman some slack. She's pregnant and can't go out. It's a lighthearted thread but she is quite rightfully irritated! OP do you have a friendly neighbour? I've got a packet of chocolate digestives I would happily donate to a pregnant, housebound, snackless woman! Smile

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 09/08/2019 21:25

Ugh, I feel you. I have no snacks either and am mightily bored. No shops open in waking distance and DS is asleep so I can't get him to nip to emergency Tesco in his car. I've gone to bed with a book. Must buy nice stuff tomorrow when I'm out!

Disfordarkchocolate · 09/08/2019 21:26

Muffins? Ready in 25 minutes and lovely warm.

Aridane · 09/08/2019 21:26

What is OCADO ZOOM?!?

Benjispruce · 09/08/2019 21:26

Ltb

OkPedro · 09/08/2019 21:26

There are some right misery guts on this thread.. 🙄
op How bloody dare you want snacks while you’re 33 weeks pregnant
You should be cleaning the kitchen or knitting booties for your baby. Actually I think you’re pretty selfish eating chocolate don’t you know sugar is bad for your baby

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 09/08/2019 21:26

Some of you are really mean! She's heavily pregnant, enabling her DH to go by looking after their DD and all she asked for in return was some chocolate and he didn't bother to do it!
No OP YANBU.

theSnuffster · 09/08/2019 21:26

I'd be a bit cross if I'd asked OH to do something and he forgot. (And I'm not pregnant. Although I do become quite unreasonable when I'm very hungry so that wouldn't help.) But that's because often when I ask him to do things, he forgets. It's frustrating.

ginyogarepeat · 09/08/2019 21:26

NBU at all OP, I'd be pissed off too.

SgtFredColon · 09/08/2019 21:27

bee222 that was in response to the posters saying ‘just go yourself’ when it’s clear from the OP that she can’t.

Also ‘you should have gone earlier’. Yes OP get in your time machine there and go back to before your husband went out so you can go.

Howdidido · 09/08/2019 21:28

I know I need to be better prepared in case of emergencies such as this. Store cupboard of ingredients ready to prepare flapjack and chocolate cake at a moment notice (except I will eat it all before I get the chance...snacks do not last long in this house)
I've found DDs tiny half eaten bag of Haribo. The mini ones. So about 4 sweets... does it make me a terrible mum if I eat them all in one mouthful?!

www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2405644/microwave-mug-cake
there are several varieties
celebratingsweets.com/brownie-in-a-mug/
there some without eggs

Sandybval · 09/08/2019 21:29

LTB!

Also as others have said get a pregnancy stash together. I didn't actually ever get through mine in the end but having a stock in of chocolate, sweets and crisps was important. Unless my midwife asks in which case it was full of fruit and veg.

optimisticpessimist01 · 09/08/2019 21:29

Deliveroo deliver dessert items near where I live

DeeM7 · 09/08/2019 21:29

YANBU.... Id be peeved too. Order a justeat. Somewhere that delivers desserts... Using his account of course 😂

Galicali · 09/08/2019 21:29

It's a dump-able offends in this household not to replenish the chocolate stash.
And I am not even pregnant :D

OP, YADNBU.

LTB is handed out on MN for far lesser crimes than that!

Hiphopopotamus · 09/08/2019 21:29

Any deliveroo, Uber eats or amazon prime now near you? Also Sainsbury’s chop chop.
