DH left me at home with no snacks

30 weeks pregnant. DD asleep.
DH gone to friends house for drinks. Which is fine but I asked him to get me pudding and a drink from the shop at the end of the road before he left. He left and forgot to get it even though I said it as he was saying bye. AIBU to be majorly pissed off and grumpy.
He's at friends now and won't be back before I'm in bed.
I wanted something nice to drink and some chocolate!! Sad

Got very excited at prospect of Ocado zoom but not in my area yet...

Oh ffs read the bloody OP. She is looking after her child and can’t go out.

Yanbu OP.

Fiveletters · 09/08/2019 21:17

Uber eats?

bee222 · 09/08/2019 21:18

Are you 12?

Neverender · 09/08/2019 21:18

I can't even...

Contraceptionismyfriend · 09/08/2019 21:18

YANBU.

I've genuinely text my husband when he's at work overnight telling him not to bother coming home without chocolate.

I wake up. He's in the spare bed. Masses of chocolate in the kitchen.

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 09/08/2019 21:18

Rice crispie cakes?

C0untDucku1a · 09/08/2019 21:19

I once, due to a dreadful lack of planning in a similar situation to you op, found myself without crisps. I had to....brace yourself.... make myself a salad. A SALAD! It’s just not the same...

My dh is currently at the shop on a crisps and gin run...

sewinginscotland · 09/08/2019 21:19

YANBU!! x1000. I felt like this the other day (my husband had eaten all the snacks) and I'm not even pregnant.

What about chocolate cake in a mug? Do you have flour, sugar, cocoa powder and oil in the house? (warning: it's addictive, it could be bad for your waistline).

catofdoom · 09/08/2019 21:19

Good grief. I'd be miffed if I'd ask dh to get me something and he didn't and buggered off out!

ELM8 · 09/08/2019 21:19

YANBU I'm 24 weeks pregnant and my husband is well aware that keeping me snacked up is the least he can do, especially if he's going to be out. We also have a snack box in her car that he keeps topped up in case of snack emergencies on the road.

I hope you manage to get something OP.. any friendly neighbours that might be able to help you out?

Neverender · 09/08/2019 21:19

How is this AIBU? Go to the shop earlier? First world problems.

BikeRunSki · 09/08/2019 21:19

Ocado Zoom?
Ocado ordinary don’t even deliver to me yet!

Disfordarkchocolate · 09/08/2019 21:19

I agree @leghairdontcare

Forget happy wife, happy life. In this house it's snacky wife, happy life.

Some people are so miserable, and I don't mean OP!!

catofdoom · 09/08/2019 21:20

The same way I'd pick something up for dh if he asked me. It's little kindnesses in a marriage that help make it work not kill each other.

Dementedswan · 09/08/2019 21:20

I cant believe some of these replies. OP asked her dh to get her some snacks before he went out...he didn't so now shes stuck in the house, dd asleep and cant go get some. I'd be ticked off too if I'd been looking forward to a chill time with my gave snacks 🤷‍♀️

DerelictWreck · 09/08/2019 21:20

Does no one understand the concept of lighthearted?! OP dominos and Pizza Hut do deserts Wink

Neverender · 09/08/2019 21:20

bee222 are you 12

That took more energy required than to go to the shop when it's bloody open and you can do what you want. Pathetic.

Saturdaycartoon · 09/08/2019 21:20

@AnneLovesGilbert, notwithstanding your promising username, I've never heard the like! Op, quite reasonably, wants chocolate and you suggest flapjacks. Which is basically porridge.

I'm sure you're a lovely reasonable person normally, but have you had some sort of aneurysm?

OP, your husband is a disgrace. Serious snack cupboard hoarding required.

bee222 · 09/08/2019 21:21

Oh ffs read the bloody OP. She is looking after her child and can’t go out

Not having any pudding is not exactly an emergency. It's not like she has been left to starve.

Neverender · 09/08/2019 21:21

I'm drained reading this

Mammyloveswine · 09/08/2019 21:21

Ffs people!

Op YADNBU! He should have given you advance notice he was going out so you could have got something nice in! Failing that he could've popped to the shops before heading out.

I get it, I totally do!

Hope you've managed to find something yummy! Nothing of DDs hanging around that you could replace?

Howdidido · 09/08/2019 21:22

Appreciate the votes of sympathy. I'm well aware I am unreasonable to be really annoyed but.. Well... I am.
I will look into chocolate mug cakes.. I don't think flapjack are going to cut it ( and don't have any golden syrup in the house)...

YANBU!
Sending cyber chocolate and hugs!

Neverender · 09/08/2019 21:23

Omg what WILL you do if you can't get a massive box of matchmakers?! Lol
