DH left me at home with no snacks

30 weeks pregnant. DD asleep.
DH gone to friends house for drinks. Which is fine but I asked him to get me pudding and a drink from the shop at the end of the road before he left. He left and forgot to get it even though I said it as he was saying bye. AIBU to be majorly pissed off and grumpy.
He's at friends now and won't be back before I'm in bed.
I wanted something nice to drink and some chocolate!! Sad

Oh God the cool wives are out in force.

YANBU and we all know it. Hope he's sufficiently sorry.

Stardustmoon · 09/08/2019 22:22

I think you have a right to be pissed off. I would be pissed off. My husband would know not to forget because he knows I would be pissed off. 😂

MaybeitsMaybelline · 09/08/2019 22:22

Yabu to not have chocolate In the house. Always

If you were here you could have a Pick of a Fry’s peppermint bar, a Fry’s orange bar, a kit kat chunky, a toffee crisp or a Turkish delight. I also have Cadbury’s orange and Cadbury’s coffee chocolate (new in Tesco)

It’s never safe to be in a chocolate free house.

NoSauce · 09/08/2019 22:24

It’s a shame it’s not Easter or Christmas!

MerryDeath · 09/08/2019 22:24

YANBU my DH works away i know the pain of being trapped in the house because it would be highly irresponsible to leave the sleeping child Hmm

we have moved from a house which no one delivers to to a house that everyone delivers to! dominos do nice warm cookies 👍

Greenmarmalade · 09/08/2019 22:27

Golden syrup or Nutella?

YANBU!!

Bluntness100 · 09/08/2019 22:29

Op, now you've solved it. But dominoes do great cookies etc, so you can always order from them.

Treaclesweet · 09/08/2019 22:30

Dominoes do cookies & also Ben and Jerry's. Also LTB obviously.

Treaclesweet · 09/08/2019 22:31

Great minds @Bluntness100

Congratulations on your milkshake OP.

stayathomer · 09/08/2019 22:32

There's a lot of snacks threads here today-is it cos it's Friday? Of course yanbu but next time mention the dd in the OP so you don't get all the early yabus!!

Alfr · 09/08/2019 22:35

Amazon Prime Now. Problem solved!

glastogal · 09/08/2019 22:35

She mentioned sleeping DD in the very first line of the OP Confused

AudacityOfHope · 09/08/2019 22:36

Ahhh my husband always brought me a Diet Coke and a bag of minstrels if he was going out when I was pregnant.

Some women on this thread take peculiar pride in having thoughtless partners Confused

RhiWrites · 09/08/2019 22:38

Dominos cookies are definitely what I’d have gone for. And a bottle of Diet Coke. And um, a garlic pizza bread, just in case the cookies got lonely.

Candymay · 09/08/2019 22:38

I’d be very upset too. It’s selfish.
But I’d never find myself without snacks in the house. Always fully stocked up!

HollyGoLoudly1 · 09/08/2019 22:42

Damn now I'm desperately craving a milkshake + dominos cookies. Yummmmmmm. Also YANBU LTB. DH knows better than to leave me chocolate-less and I'm not even pregnant Grin

megletthesecond · 09/08/2019 22:43

Yanbu.

Catnut · 09/08/2019 22:45

This thread started off looking a bit depressing, glad lots of supportive posters came out to say nice things to you OP. And you have a milkshake on the way! Very happy for you Smile

Hornet7067 · 09/08/2019 22:46

When I was pregnant and DH was out one night I found he’d eaten my chocolate fingers. Was not happy! I was in my pjs so couldn’t be bothered to get dressed and go shop.

DH Google’d the number for the shop at the end of our road and got them to post a box through the letter box and he’d pay them the next day! Best chocolate fingers ever! Lol

Ohyesiam · 09/08/2019 22:49

it’s not his duty to bring you chocolate and something nice to drink
Say WHAT? This is the glue that holds marriage together. OF COURSE it’s his duty.
Sometimes mn does make me wonder what shoddy excuses for intimacy some people call marriage.

Schuyler · 09/08/2019 22:50

I’m going to need to know if you got the milkshake. Grin

gottastopeatingchocolate · 09/08/2019 22:52

Haven't read the full thread, OP, but have you never heard of "emergency chocolate"??

If you had, you wouldn't be in this tragic predicament!! Wink

AlexaAmbidextra · 09/08/2019 22:55

Ffs. What a load of miserable, unpleasant bastards on this thread. ☹️

Aprillygirl · 09/08/2019 22:57

You mentioning your pregnancy implies to me that your wants are a craving, in which case you should learn to shop more wisely so that you always have stuff in to fulfil your needs. Saying that, unless you are one of those women who act like you're disabled when you're pregnant and he is sick of being constantly at your beck and call, your DH was very rude to just ignore your request and you should LTB.

mumwon · 09/08/2019 22:58

op you don't have cocoa???? or hot choc in cupboard??? you can use them for chocolate flavour in cakes -Oh goodness just remembered - rice crispie or cornflakes chocolate rise balls we didn't use chocolate but cocoa in the mix - I think it was rice crispies, margarine, golden syrup (or honey) sultanas (if you like them or whatever dried fruit you have) & cocoa basically you melt margarine add golden syrup & mix than add cocoa, mix than add crispies (or cornflakes) & if wanted add sultanas & place using spoon into small cake cases & let it set - eat & leave evidence of them for dh to see Grin
