My family are well catered for and want for nothing. If I have something particularly delicious I tend to squirrel it away and eat it in secret.
Am I a monster?

I eat cakes in the car.

VenusTiger · 06/08/2019 17:28

Nowt wrong in that. You bought it for you. Job done.

FlamedToACrisp · 06/08/2019 17:31

Any suggestions as to how to hide the large and delicious home made trifle in my fridge? Ahem, IF I wanted to, which of course I don't.

ChihuahuaMummy1 · 06/08/2019 17:36

I can recommend the cleaning cupboard under the kitchen sink for stashes

Rainbowknickers · 06/08/2019 17:38

All mine in my knicker drawer
Have been known to hide it in my wardrobe
Have also been known to hide it so well even I couldn’t find it...

Iwantacookie · 06/08/2019 17:38

There is no Ben & Jerrys hidden in the veg drawer.
There are no Oreos in my pjs drawer.
There are no chocolate waffles in the cupboard in the lounge.
I DID share but no one else in my house has self control so they get nothing Grin not even sorry Grin

BikeRunSki · 06/08/2019 17:38

There are no delicious snacks in my work kit bag in the boot of my car Wink

AnnonniMoose · 06/08/2019 17:44

You lot are absolutely disgustingly selfish! You should share the good stuff with your families Shock. goes to check if the good coffee chocolate is still hidden in the mixing bowl on the top shelf of the tallest kitchen cupboard

AuntieAvocado · 06/08/2019 17:50

I have nice magnum ice creams in a box that used to hold frozen gluten free vegan “meatball” things. I am quietly confident that none of my carnivore gluten munching family will ever look inside the box :)

Bananamint · 06/08/2019 17:51

I definitely wouldn’t hide a huge bag of M&Ms behind bags of flour in my baking cupboard .

gwenneh · 06/08/2019 17:56

DH and I certainly wouldn't hide our stash of chocolate from our last UK visit in our bedside table.

MrsMoastyToasty · 06/08/2019 17:57

I definitely wouldn't hide a family packet of Skittles in my bedside cabinet...and need to go upstairs to "make the bed".

cushioncovers · 06/08/2019 18:01

Only a monster would hide their nice treats in the fridge behind the broccoli where they know no one else will look.

BruceAndNosh · 06/08/2019 18:02

You've just reminded me that the chocolate which is definitely not hidden in the glove box of my car should be moved somewhere else in case it is very hot tomorrow

Lovemenorca · 06/08/2019 18:03

Are you on a tight budget? If not, then I can’t understand why you’d do this

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 06/08/2019 18:08

I have a friend who has a chocolate safe!

FiveLittlePigs · 06/08/2019 18:13

If I don't hide it then OH will just eat it and I'll find the wrappers in the bin. As I want my share, I hide it and it magically appears when we want some.

He knows I do this and is happy for me to do so as he just cannot stop himself munching.

Alicatz66 · 06/08/2019 18:18

Ha ha ... I hide my nice dark chocolate mints in my pants drawer and buy the fam Kitkats

EssentialHummus · 06/08/2019 18:19

Like victoria I go in for efficiency and just snaffle snacks in the car.

HelenaJustina · 06/08/2019 18:19

I have dark chocolate hidden behind baking powder and bicarbonate of soda in the baking cupboard.

I have haribo jelly men behind some vases in a very high up cupboard in the kitchen and an emergency Cadbury’s cream egg in the stationary drawer in my office at work... I’m from a big family and you either ate stuff immediately or hid it bloody well!

Sexnotgender · 06/08/2019 18:21

Are you on a tight budget? If not, then I can’t understand why you’d do this

Nope.

I would just like when I sit down in the evening to actually have my delicious snack available and not scoffed by someone else.
They get plenty of nice things. Don’t panic they’re not deprived.

Aridane · 06/08/2019 18:22

I don’t hide but just say “^mine*” I’m a scary and vehement (but quiet) voice. It works!

BarbaraofSeville · 06/08/2019 18:22

You need to make it in a container that fits in the veg drawer, behind the veg. Use two smaller containers and use both drawers if necessary.

How nice that you've never lived with thoughtless greedy people who will inhale all the treats the second they arrive in the house, leaving none for you. And some people might indeed be on a tight budget and not be able to afford endless treats to fill bottomless pits.

Fromage · 06/08/2019 18:30

No, YOU ripped a hole in the bottom of your handbag lining to stash chocolate bars in.

Because you are a genius MONSTER.

RezCowgirl · 06/08/2019 18:34

My Twirls don't live in the tampon box.
