I don’t want him to but what is the alternative!?

It's funny how when Labour want to spend they are irresponsible socialists who will wreck the economy. When the Tories want to suddenly it's marvelous.
Disclaimer: Not a Labour voter. But the media bias is ridiculous.

The80sweregreat · 28/07/2019 13:25

Ruth Davidson has come out against no deal.
She championed Savid Javid for pm our new chancellor , will she tell him?

colouringinpro · 28/07/2019 13:27

Just seen on news, Boris super-charging no deal!!! We have a madman driving us off a cliff ShockConfusedAngry

Blowingthroughthejasmine · 28/07/2019 13:35

Thornberry won't recover from white van man just like brown never recovered from the bigot comment. These are their voters.

ivykaty44 · 28/07/2019 13:39

I think I’d rather vote for JC than lose the NHS and that is the reality

Peregrina · 28/07/2019 14:38

If I were in a Labour/Tory area, I would too. I dread the thought of losing it. I know it needs reform and it needs also to encompass social care, which will nearly always include an element of health care. Selling it off piecemeal as stealthily as possible to the Americans is most definitely what I want. Nor do I suspect that Leavers want that. Johnson didn't have the pledge on the bus for nothing.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 28/07/2019 14:40

The NHS is being run into the ground (personally think we need to look at France and Germany and model our healthcare on theirs and let the NHS go but that’s a different thread)

But there isn’t a party who will let it go under it shall just about be kept floating dangling precariously

Peregrina · 28/07/2019 14:42

Selling it off piecemeal as stealthily as possible to the Americans is most definitely not what I want.

borisisbonkers · 28/07/2019 14:45

My main fear is that the Brexit group will unite faster than the remain group - Brexit is looking more likely to me and I see labour’s position on Brexit (we’ll get a better deal and then a referendum) as the main problem with the remain group uniting.

Peregrina · 28/07/2019 15:20

I am really not sure about the Brexit group. As with UKIP once it's no longer all about Farage it's likely to fall apart.

Farage himself doesn't seem to know whether he's against the Tories or not.

hopeful123 · 28/07/2019 15:40

this is not normal politics
for me it is save the NHS
anything but Boris
wish Corbyn would do the decent thing and go.

Ibiza2015 · 28/07/2019 15:51

for me it is save the NHS

Why do you think the NHS is in danger? Who from? What do you think they’re going to do?

The NHS isn’t in danger, which is a shame given that it has a terrible record for curing people and keeping them alive. The rest of Europe has much better healthcare than us. The NHS is a millstone around our necks.

Peregrina · 28/07/2019 15:55

What do you think they’re going to do?

Sell it off to American profit making firms. It would be good if we were to copy say the German or Scandinavian models of health care provision, but there is fat chance of that now.

daisypond · 28/07/2019 16:06

I wish we’d stop calling him Boris. Johnson. Johnson. Johnson.

Alsohuman · 28/07/2019 16:19

Without the NHS an awful lot of us would be dead now. It’s given me over 40 years I wouldn’t have had if it didn’t exist. If it’s such a millstone, why are the likes of Virgin so keen to grab a piece of it?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 28/07/2019 16:25

It’s guaranteed money for private companies (as long as they keep to certain standards) to be involved in areas of the NHS as there is huge amounts of money that can be made

To take over the whole of the running of the NHS is totally different

JustAnotherPoster00 · 28/07/2019 16:26

wish Corbyn would do the decent thing and go.

Why? Do you think the msm will give anyother Labour a fair chance, or have we forgotten Red Ed and his dad?

Do you not look at who's telling you he's unelectable (lets forget thats he's been overwhelmingly elected twice as Labour leader) and why they're telling you that what do they have to lose.

Even if you don't like Corbyn he's not going to be there for ever but the policies that he wants to bring in have galvanised a lot of people young and old and across quite a diverse spread of class.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 28/07/2019 16:28

The NHS isn’t in danger, which is a shame given that it has a terrible record for curing people and keeping them alive.

If I cut your household budget to the same degree as the NHS budget has been slashed would you be able to function as well as you had in the past?

Dongdingdong · 28/07/2019 16:36

Do you not look at who's telling you he's unelectable (lets forget thats he's been overwhelmingly elected twice as Labour leader) and why they're telling you that what do they have to lose.

He couldn't win the 2017 election against Theresa May, even when she made a complete mess of her campaign. If he couldn't beat TM then he has no chance against Boris.

His policies are obviously very popular with some people, but not enough to win an election.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 28/07/2019 16:38

We'll see

BertrandRussell · 28/07/2019 16:54

There’s a lot of drip drip drip about how we have to beat Jeremy Corbyn....that’s new. Just adding a bit of ill defined fear to the Tory narrative as if it’s something to be taken as read.

everythingisginandroses · 28/07/2019 16:59

Alexander Johnson. Total wanker.

Dongdingdong · 28/07/2019 17:01

One thing that did annoy me was a pp (can't remember if it was on this thread or a similar one) who said that Jeremy Corbyn is too old to be Labour leader/PM. The man's 70 FGS, not 95. Blatant ageism there...

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 28/07/2019 17:04

Well it’s reported that the Tories have already jumped ahead in the polls

These are not always to be relied on but given that we have only had a new PM for 6 days that isn’t good news for other parties

People have woken up to Corbyn and co, his lack of leadership he has proven, his indecisiveness we can all see, him turning a blind eye to the growing anti semitism in the party he has been called up on it time and time again, his laziness is obvious Labour don’t stand a chance with Corbyn leading in the next GE. even in the PM questions something he has done numerous times he still doesn’t seem to get how it all plays out

His supporters told us how the right fear Corbyn (which many whatever laughed at) Don’t hear that so much now but what is becoming obvious is that many Labour supporters fear Corbyn not stepping aside

Four wasted years in a time when we have needed a strong and decisive opposition more than ever

maddening · 28/07/2019 17:04

Anyone against Conservative and brexit should get behind the lib dems imo
